I'm referring to the ad where the young white woman says she met Ford at the Playboy Super Bowl party and coyly says "Harold... call me!"

For one thing, I'm glad to see that a black man can run in a state governor election, something that would not have been possible years ago. I definitely approve of interracial relationdhips (I'm in one) so in a way, it's kind of cool that the ad has an interracial theme. But two questions:

1) Was it necessary to use a white woman? If it had been a black woman in the ad, this would not even be an issue.

2) Is it also possible the ad was to call attention to the fact that Ford (an extremely light-skinned man who could pass for white) is actually black? I mean, was the real purpose to call attention to his ethnicity to those who might not have known he was black?

Does this sound like Kerry was talking about Bush? NO!

If it was a joke he would have said that immediately. Instead, he dug his heels in and said, "I will not apologize...." If it was a joke he would have apologized and restated the joke...he didn't! His comments just show his continued hatred towards the US military.

7 months ago iwas adicted to crack...
i stole some stuff from an x girl freinds parents. booze and gold and a computer...
right after that i wrote a letter of apoligy.
in the last 7 months i have cleaned up,paid 2500 cash back to them with out being asked,its my duty..im responsable, i am clean now .going to councling, iam a behavior interventionist for a autsistic child i also wrok volunteering with youth in my home town, imoved here 7 months ago, the crown wants to give me 6 months and i have a bad record. this is the best i have done in a long time... i am going to a treatment center and doing the 12 step program.. i am willing to pay full restitution, i am on bail right now and i have to go to court in Kitimat BC Canada next week.
i am asking my lawyer to ask for a conditional sentance so taht i can go to treatment and continue paying restitution.... i am not trying to get off on this charge i tried to turn myself in 5 times before there was warrent for my arrest. what do u say

I don't know about you, but that does not give me much comfort. Do you find it comforting to know we have just enough troops to "make do"? If I was on the ground there I would want more support that just enough to "make do".

who are in the USA....(do note that I am saying Mexican nationals because MEXICANS make up 96% of all the ILLEGALS in the USA). I dont like them and would love to see them gone one way or the other. What means are used is OK by me. I love the Legals from any part of the world who are in the USA but not the ILLEGALS.
What should USA do to fix this issue........there has been tons of talk but its all smoke and politics as usual. what would you do if you had to run the show to get rid of the illegals..........

I have looked into the Air Force, the Army, and the Marines, and they all tend to think that their branch of service is the best for becoming a pilot. I know why they think this, they have to fill recruiting numbers for the period, but I was hoping that there actually was a best answer out there and that maybe one of you could provide it.

President Bush repeatedly echoes the same cliché:

“We’re fighting them (terrorists) over there so we don’t have to fight them here.”

This makes no sense whatsoever. How did this invasion of a sovereign nation, supposedly to uncover an arsenal of WMD, turn into a global war on terrorism? If we end the war tomorrow and redeploy all our troops, are we to believe that all the terrorists in Iraq will hop on a plane and come to America? How does the war in Iraq prevent terrorist attacks elsewhere? This rationale to continue the war just doesn’t make sense. Terrorism is a global issue. Terrorists live in virtually every major country in the world. There were few, if any terrorists in Iraq before we invaded this country. The growing numbers of insurgents are there because we’re there. How do we measure victory in Iraq? What events need to take place before we declare victory in Iraq and proclaim that we have won the global war on terrorism. Am I the only one who doesn't get it?

Are you influenced by someone saying the other guy "votes with Bush" or is "too liberal"? What happened to ads where the candidate stands up and say "I'll do this..I can do that ...If you believe in blank, I'm your guy"? Now almost every commercial is a mud-slinging festival of pointing out the other guy's "negative" traits. I can't wait until election day is over. I'm really disallusioned with what I am seeing.
