SEC. 1003. DEFINITION OF ``ELECTRONIC SURVEILLANCE''.

Section 101(f)(2) of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (50
U.S.C. 1801(f)(2)) is amended by adding at the end before the semicolon the following: ``, but does not include the acquisition of those communications of computer trespassers that would be permissible under section 2511(2)(i) of title 18, United States Code''.

This is part of the Patriot Act. Does anyone know what it says?

How about this one?

SEC. 802. DEFINITION OF DOMESTIC TERRORISM.

(a) Domestic Terrorism Defined.--Section 2331 of title 18, United
States Code, is amended--
(1) in paragraph (1)(B)(iii), by striking ``by assassination
or kidnapping'' and inserting ``by mass destruction,
assassination, or kidnapping'';

Who is opposed to making mass destruction part of the definition of terrorism?

Please, read the Act, tell me what's scary about it. I can't see it.

With our country supposedly based on a clear separation of church and state, how did the term “Legally Married” ever come to be? How did getting married become a process where you have a commitment ceremony AND have to file paperwork with the courts? I understand that we now have certain legal rights and tax effects based on our marriage status. However, shouldn’t it really be based on our partnership status? If there are 2 consenting adults agreeing to partner up in life together, regardless of sex, shouldn’t every partnership have equal legal rights?

Last night in Chili's the young man sitting in the booth next to us had his phone on ridiculously loud BEEP. Each time he received a text message his phone would BEEP. The BEEP was so loud that it disturbed the conversation at our table. Barring all of the free rights guaranteed by this and that, what, if anything, do you think should be done to guarantee everyone a peaceful existence in a world of cell phones?

Kerry, as their most recent Presidential candidate, speaks for the entire Democratic Party. And when he bashes the troops, all Democrats bash the troops. Voters need to be reminded of this every second of every hour until November 7th. With this strategy, we can cut the Democrats chances of stealing the election.

Every movement that seeks to enslave a country, every dictatorship or potential dictatorship, needs some minority group as a scapegoat which it can blame for the nation's troubles and use as a justification of its own demand for dictatorial powers.
