everybody is looking for experienced personel. what to do, if you don't have no/the experience required?
for instance, there is a project run by a goverment institution which has attracted a lot of people. they don't have enough room for all of us, so, they asked us to write something about why joining this project and something about the relevant experience in the field.
it is my first project of this kind and in this field. it is related with the Stability Pact for South Eastern Europe. it would be a great opportunity, keeping in mind that I would like a career in diplomacy.
so, what to do?

Could it be said that after the fall of the Soviet block, America has launched a continuing war of Imperialism throughout the world and has now secured the oil sources for powering its imperial ambitions.

Do you think that our feelings toward immigration are representative of how the rest of America thinks? If it's true then what are our congressmen doing? They don't represent us, who are they representing? We want not amnesty and we want the business fined for hiring them. Am I right?

people are always trying to get to america, or canada, or the uk. lots of people had to fight to get our countries in the positions they are in now. don't all these immigrants see that they are just taking what our ancestors had to fight and die for? let them fix their own countries, and quit showing up here looking for a good life.

The lawyer who divulged President George W. Bush's drunken-driving arrest days before the 2000 election was arrested at gunpoint Tuesday after he was seen on a highway overpass carrying a toy gun while dressed in an Osama bin Laden costume.

Tom Connolly, 49, of Scarborough, was charged with criminal threatening after he stood at a construction site visible to commuters on a major highway while wearing a Halloween holiday costume and waving a sign.

"The whole thing is just incredibly bizarre," said South Portland Police Chief Ed Googins. "It just crossed the line."

Connolly, who ran for governor as a Democrat in 1998 and lost, met with reporters briefly after posting $500 cash bail to secure his release from the Cumberland County Jail in Portland. Criminal threatening is a misdemeanor.

"There was a First Amendment this morning when I woke up. I don't know how it evaporated with the dawn," he said.

Idiotic....YES. Free speech....??????

According to a June 5, 2006 story in Business Week, several Democrats asked the Treasury Department to investigate a possible Venezuelan connection to a 100-year-old American voting machine company called Sequoia Voting Systems, located in Oakland, California.

In May 2005 Sequoia was bought by a Venezuelan company called Smartmatic. The sale was reviewed and approved by all pertinent governmental agencies.
According to the Business Week article, Sequoia's machines are used in California, Illinois and 18 other states.

My question is this.

If the Bush administration was so worried about this "serious" issue, why did Rove wait until nine days before a national election to express its concern to the public at large?

Does this mean that on November 8th, if the Republicans don't like the results of the Congressional elections, they will demand a "do over" in 20 states, based on alleged "new" information about a corrupt Venezuelan connection?

As propagandist for a failed vision of the planet, she functions at the level of a lesser troll. A less successfully beligerant O'Reilly, a less comical Limbaugh, a less articulate and on-point Medved.

Being that we are at war with an enemy that does not observe the Geneava Convention, should It's laws protect them? Should American soldiers be given leave to treat enemy prisoners in any way they see fit to retrieve information?
I am taking an objective stance on this so far. Willing to hear whatever arguments people want to give. I only ask that the answerer's not berate each other, or assume that I am taking a stance on either side. My feelings on the subject will be reflected in the answer I pick as the winner.

here's what happened.I attended a protest tonight. We were protesting vote fraud at a news station debate between Blackwell (famous for 2004 elections in his Katherine Harris role) and Strickland. After the activists on both sides all left. Another activist and myself returned with our signs to catch the people leaving the debate in the hope Blackwell would see us and our signs. One of us stood at one exit and the other at the other exit. a man approached my activist friend..she then crossed the street and eventually several policeman were involved in a discussion. I did not know what was going on. She motioned me over to that side of the street.. I heard a policeman tell her he was sick of this and to give back the paper and leave the premises as it was private property and to go on the other side & "do what we had to do" She told me (and I did see this paper briefly), that a man had crossed the side where we were standing legally (as others on both sides were there earlier in police presence) & showed her three pictures of herself that were from the highway patrol and department of public safety with all her personal information and told her she was a "known troublemaker"..she later crossed street to talk to him and other policeman got involved. Although she is a bigger activist than myself and I am not aware of everything she does, it is similar to what I do. She is in her late 40's early 50's and is peaceful and kind and affectionate to other people in our political group..somewhat more vocal at times but totally peaceful.
I am shocked and wondering if we are not ALL on lists for our (anti Bush) political activism. Since when did peaceably assembling with a protest sign and exercising our civil rights become something that branded us as "troublemakers" rather than a concerned American. Why are we on lists as criminals. I feel they were trying to upset her, intimidate her, and get us to leave before he left the building but Blackwell did see our signs. My mom( who lived through Mussolini and the war) has in the past warned me not to be vocal in any way politically for this reason,.is she right and what do you think of this..should I be concerned in light of talk of camps and red and blue lists for coming martial law?

Just wondering because a friend of mine has a job and he thinks he's being screwed because they just notified them tuesday and they get new shifts this friday? I'm not to sure myself but it does seem shady because they're forced new schedules almost every 2 monthes or whenever the managers decide to just change it up. We're in NY state. Not a government job or anything. Any references to sites with these regulations or anything would be much appreciated. Thankyou all.
