I just received an email saying that my content critisizing radical Islam's holcaust cartoon contest in Iran as hypocitical, antagonistic and retarded. Apparently I made a "epithet and slur" and offended members of this community.

I just wanted all the terrorists and members of Al Qaida on this board know that I am truely and deeply sorry if I offended them with my "slurs." Will you ever be able to forgive me?

that there are others who although they may not LIVE there, are very familiar with this ancient country which was originally called Mesopotamia, the cradle of civilization, masters of math and science.
Seems like soldiers who have been there believe they are the only ones who understand that particular culture.
Wrong.

I mean, I know it's using a bunch of money and it's very unnecessary, but everyone's peoblem seems to be the privacy issue. I don't see why that matters. It's not like the FBI cares who you're going out with on Saturday night, or the fact that you just bought a new CD. Unless you have to write a report about towers, bombs, or terrorism and you're telling your friends about it, you've got nothing to worry about.

Since I am a nut job and do not fully understand the full scope of the ACLU and because of my ignorance and unwarranted demonization of an organization who supports the enhancement of the civil liberties that I would have been thrown in jail for if it would not have been for their concern for my rights....please explain to my ignorant mind why while in the CIS (Iraq and Afghanistant, uzebekistan, etc) those that the ACLU expresses deep concern for their civil rights were slaughtering innocent villagers becausethose villagers did not share the same intelligent outlook....as a civilian logistics consultant and being caught in these "disagreements between those who are right and those poor unintelligent who were not armed" and these were two of the first plane load of C-17's that were loaded and flown to Guantanomo Bay - where I am missing the boat ...??? My apologies for my ignorance and I am waiting to learn from those who are intellectuals...

By Gregg Zoroya, USA TODAY
CAMP PENDLETON, Calif. — Chris Packley returned from Fallujah in 2004 a top marksman on a sniper team showcased in the Marine Corps Times for its 22 kills. "I was exceptionally proud of that Marine," says Gunnery Sgt. Scott Guise, his former team leader. He also came home with flashbacks — memories of his friend, Lance Cpl. Michael Blake Wafford, 20, dying on the battlefield. Packley says he smoked marijuana to try to escape the images. He also left the base without permission. "I wanted out," Packley says. Last year he got his wish and was expelled from the Marine Corps. As a consequence, he lost access to the free counseling and medication he needed to treat the mental wounds left from combat, according to Packley, his former defense lawyer and documents from the Department of Veterans Affairs. Scores of combat veterans like Packley are being dismissed from the Marines without the medical benefits needed to treat combat stress, says Lt. Col. Colby Vokey.

Maine is looking at this law and it is up for vote in the coming election. I would rather hear from people who have experience with this than listening to politicians. Thanks

Are you tired of the negative, name calling, judgemental politics of personal insult and issue avoidance? Are you interested in being part of the tiniest beginnings of change? I know I am. I am a liberal who is willing to pledge to avoid name calling, judgement and personal attacks, and begin seriously discussing issues with anyone interested. Join me in this pledge. It's a small beginning but een if it only impacts a handful of people here on Answers it will be a good start. If leaders (of all party's) will not lead we must step in front and lead them.
Lincoln's words still hold true today, "A nation divided against itself cannot stand". Let's begin the stand as citizens against divisiveness.

If you are interested in beginning true reasoned discourse email me, contact me on 360 or answer here.
