Are the middle classes so over taxed by everything that they will rebel? If you've read a book called "Millennium People" you'll know what I mean!

I just asked a question asking whether America was a moral leader and the consensus seems to be that America has no morality much like an international whore, so if this is true this leads me to the question is the war in Iraq justifable as it has been perpetrated by a deeply immoral country, without the consent of the international community(the UN)?

Is it about time for a new breed of political party in britain?
One that puts the people of britain first.
One that really listens to the man in the street.
One that is independant of large Corporate influence.
One that is not more preocupied with what others think or want more than its own people.
One that will bring back the pride of a once great nation
One that will stop the current fragmentation of all that britain has stood for in the past
One that will have the power to say what goes on in its own country
One that will stand up and support common sense laws
One that will give unending support to the victims of crime and not the criminal
One that will be proud to display our own flag with pride when we want.
One that will embrace all who live here and integrate and contribute to our great country.

You decide......
What do you want for britain and the next generation to come?

The American Constitution states that all Americans are born equal and have an equal right to the pursuit of happiness, if this is so why did white America then proceed on the genocide of the native American community, put in place an apartheid system that discriminated against black America after the civil war which was still in place up until the 70s and lets face it still is, has purpetrated war crimes such as My Lai, Hiroshima, Nagasaki. America claims time and again that it is a moral leader in the world today, is this really credible?

much to the Reagan administration's surprise. It was Gorbachev who allowed the Soviet Union to break up (and YES, he could have held it together with an iron fist). It was Gorbachev who opened up the USSR politically and intellectually ...

and it was ultimately Gorbachev who paid the political price for his actions.

And NO, there is absolutely zero evidence of an American plan, secret or otherwise, to bankrupt the USSR. Remember, well into Gorbachev's tenure, the CIA was still badly over-estimating the USSR's economic health.

Why does Mikhail Gorbachev get no credit for ending the Cold War when he clearly did more than Reagan?

action. Surely punishing people (in the pocket) for acting in the ways they've been told is ludicrous. Why should we, the tax payer, have to pay. Surley there has to be another way of being more enviromentaly safe. With the immediate jump to taxation punishments it makes me feel as if the Government is using the green issue to boost its tax income.

In fact they seem to be a peaceful nation.
Are they part of the Allies?

Hi,

I live in the UK and was wondering about tenancy law.

I have lived in my house for a year and now a new contract has been aranged for the following year.

In the contract the landlord says that the rent is increasing effective immediatly.

Can he do this, does he legally have to give any notice before increasing the rent?

Cheers

The majority of the political arguments here seem to be crude, if not plain wrong, with both neo-cons and liberals regurgitating media spin. But I have seen a number of well thought out answers with firmly sourced facts, offering convincing enticement from both sides of the political divide.

But has anyone actually been affected by these words? I don’t necessarily mean a polar shift, but can anyone name an issue that they now have a different opinion on thanks to Y/A?
