The majority of the political arguments here seem to be crude, if not plain wrong, with both neo-cons and liberals regurgitating media spin. But I have seen a number of well thought out answers with firmly sourced facts, offering convincing enticement from both sides of the political divide.

But has anyone actually been affected by these words? I don’t necessarily mean a polar shift, but can anyone name an issue that they now have a different opinion on thanks to Y/A?

No..
And like you stated I hardly see an intelligent debate on here.
It just usually amounts to Liberals saying.. Bush sucks and the Conservatives response of.. Liberals are doodie heads.

Quite stimulating really..

1) Your split of Neocon & Lib is absurd. You obviously don't know what a Neocon is. There are many types of Cons.
2) I doubt if any minds have been changed. People here don't talk to each other, they talk at each other.

No....actually it's cemented my ideals more. I had no idea there were so many people with common sense in the world (barring the occasional whacko). If we could only trickle some of our common sense into most political systems the world would be a much better place.

Not really, I wouldn't base my political thoughts based on anything I have learned on this site.
