action. Surely punishing people (in the pocket) for acting in the ways they've been told is ludicrous. Why should we, the tax payer, have to pay. Surley there has to be another way of being more enviromentaly safe. With the immediate jump to taxation punishments it makes me feel as if the Government is using the green issue to boost its tax income.

Gordon brown must be smiling his silly ******* head off.

A report that says he must tackle Global Warming by checking Carbon omissions.

How"s he going to do it? Tax Tax Tax, and he can "hide" behind the report"s recommendations to avoid any criticism.

I bet the Government don"t do away with the large limousines they are chauffeured about in!!

It"s another case of the rich can carry on as normal, but the average hard working citizens have to bear the brunt.

Tony Blair says we should set an example to the rest of the World, I say bollocks, let another country set the example, say America or China.

The Government will now go all out to convince us the World will end if we don"t pay a lot more in taxes.

Our Countries omissions amount to about 3% of global omissions, what ******* difference is it going to make if we "go it alone"

It will only increase every bodies cost of living.

Where the **** are we supposed to find this extra money, we are already taxed over and over again on our hard earned cash.

The government are just a load of "blood suckers" and if they don"t change soon there is going to be "civil unrest"

We've known about global warming since the 70's. Why back then wasn't there a massive push to build carbon free nuclear power? Why? Because there was all that lovely North Sea oil just doing nothing underneath all the water. The government needed tax revenue at any cost and the environment be damned. Now we are paying for their mistakes.

Green taxes are the tip of the iceberg, no pun intended, just this morning Rt Hon. Patricia Hewitt was proposing new taxation of on line gambling. If the public do it they want to tax it. They are hellbent on getting as much tax out of us as they can by both direct and indirect means. They give local councils less rate support grant, so they have to raise council tax and charge for services that used to be free like parking, pest control etc. The police have to use speed cameras to make up their shortfall. All this is coming out of our pockets, it's stealth taxation, this lot are morally devoid. Gordon even taxes that Children in Need CD Wogan is always banging on about, wake up and listen it is a charity you heartless monsters! Then you use this extra money to buy bombs and bullets to kill Afghans and Iraqis.
