American made all the way. To not would be like biting the hand that feeds you. I have always driven American made, it just made sense. It is not brand loyalty though. I drive a Jeep and a Ford F-150. I think that some of the previous answerer's are incorrect. The Honda and the Mitsubishi that are stated to be 100% American made are not. Better research please.

I used to buy American but had so many problems (Fords mostly) that I decided to try a foreign car. I ended up going with Mazda's and Toyota's and have never went back. I feel that we as Americans should buy American but also think I work hard for my money and want to get what I pay for. The way I see it, Toyota we be the number 1 auto maker very soon, and for good reason. They built a great vehicle that is reliable and has great resale value. Try that with a Ford or GM product. I know this sounds un-American but I do try to buy American made products whenever I can if I think they are good products even if they cost more. The problem is getting people to switch back to American cars after owning something else. Once you screw someone with a piece of junk it is hard to gain their trust back.

i have an American and will never buy one again. They are all ways breaking down and tons of recalls. My friends with foreign cars don't have as many problems. I take my car in for all its check ups and oil changes and still. I think American car makers need to make a better quality to get my business again They don't even last as long in my opinion as foriegn cars
