I'm talking about release from custody in felonious assault cases or identity theft cases and no real consequences.

80% of Americans do not want people coming here illegally. If government is supposed to be run by the people, why hasn't the will of the people prevailed. Think deeply about this, because it really ought to be raising red flags as to something is VERY,VERY wrong.
No I am a centrist. I agree with some of the right and some of the left, although I would categorize myself as having "right" leanings. And yes the "rumors" are true.

Hospitals, by the nature of their services, are obliged by morals and ethics not to turn away people in need of medical treatment. This is not a "special right" - for one thing, natural born citizens who cannot pay receive this same consideration. For another, conducting oneself in a moral and ethical manner is not "giving special rights."
The various police agencies in this country are themselves not at all happy with the Feds on immigration. They feel they have plenty to do without being drafted into the Federal service as immigration police, and they have a point. It is in fact the job of the Feds to deal with immigration, including illegal immigrants, not Sheriff Bob or Officer Joanne down the street. And further, even if a police department did arrest someone for being here illegally, can you just imagine the headaches from the Feds in getting anything done about it? I don't blame the local cops for declining to become embroiled in the hassles of something that is not their job.

Yes, but it is supposed to be ending because it is illegal.
Illegals are not supposed to get food stamps or free medical care
and in the most liberal states( like Minnesota ) they have been getting all of that and then some. Minnesota gave some illegal immigrants $10,000 to help them buy homes. When illegals were arrested in the past they were given a court date and let out.
Now they are supposed to hold them for deportation.

I've never heard of any 'special rights' at hospitals.
but as for police, a city police officer, or even a state trooper or sheriff, is not authorized to detain or charge someone for immigration violations. Only the INS can do that.

Unsure of Legal Rights, but YES, in most cases, if a police officer KNOWS that someone is an illegal alien, unless they have committed another crime, they will do NOTHING about it.

Well, hospitals aren't required to turn in illegals. But in my opinion that isn't their job. They should focus on treating people and saving lives. I don't know about the police though.

It's true, but then again depending on the situation it's also not true.
