So, basically he's going out of business? Why don't your co-workers all quit at once and teach him a lesson?

No workers, no product, no profit, no company. Sometimes you need to bite the hand that feeds if they bounce your paychecks.

Then all of you share in contacting the labor board at once and filing your claims all at once.

If corporate America can organize to 'manage' their workforce's cost effective, you can organize to punish a bad worksite, too.

Contact the state labor board and file a claim. But before you do this, ask him again and tell him that if he doesnt pay you, the labor board is your next stop. Not only will he have to pay you, he will also have penalties through the board. If hes that tightfisted, he may just go ahead and pay you what he owes you.

Call your State's Labor Board. You should have a poster posted somewhere in your workplace with your states telephone number. If it's not posted get him in trouble for that too. Good luck!

Refer to your contract. Have you breached it in anyway? Have you actually done the work required of you? They have no right to withhold your pay unless something serious has happened. Seek legal advice.
