Yes. Kerry is the face of the Democratic Party. Kerry hates the troops, like all Democrats do. Only, Kerry slipped up and admitted it in public.

As I was appalled by his remark and my mouth hit the floor for the words that fell from his lips, I believe I know what it was he was trying to say. There have been many times you and everyone else in this world has had a thought it their head and when it came out of the mouth, it wasn't put across as the mind had thought it.
I also do not agree with his handling of an apology. That was a chicken shiot way of handling it. On a website. how cowardly. I happen to know for a fact that there are many, many intelligent and schooled people in the military. One needs to be when one is an officer, right? Not everyone in the military is from some little farm town destine to be a grunt as Kerry would have you think. Therefore, this is more proof on my behalf that what Kerry said was a slip of the tongue. He ought to have been a bit more outgoing with a retraction. He should have been more public than to hide behind is website but I don't believe for one minute that this is the Democratic philosophy and the party as a whole shouldn't damned for one mans careless comment that went awry.

I am not a huge fan of Kerry, I had wished that John Edwards had stayed in however, I think they did twist his words around, I do think he was talking about the President and not the troops-he is always talking about how dumb the President is and getting stuck in Iraq... I do think it was twisted around.... Kerry served and I find it hard to believe that he would bash troops like that, saying what he said, would make it look like he was uneducated... so I don't think he was bashing the troops, I do think it was a joke about the President himself... but.. he should have apologized once it got all the press time it got, instead of standing by his pride... I do not think he represents me and I hope it doesn't cut the Dems chance of "winning" the election

This is so typical of how you Repubs operate. The President cannot even articulate a simple sentence without sounding like a fool. He has gotten us into an impossible war based on a lie that has led to almost a million deaths. He is responsible for the biggest deficit in history. He approves of torture and spies on his own citizens. The country is less secure than it was when the Repubs took office and there has been one scandal after another, Yet, let a Dem make a single mistake in a speech, and you put a magnifying glass on it. Even after he apologized, you won't let it go.
The voters can see through these tactics. We have had enough.

You have got to be kidding. How dare you presume Kerry or anyone else speaks for the Democratic party as a whole. We are free thinkers, moron. You are a bunch of brainwashed, pompous fools who are grasping at straws to keep afloat.Kerry made a mistake, pure and simple.Just don't blow it out of proportion. He DID serve in the armed forces which is more than one can say for our clueless leader. You guys have been sinking in the polls for over a year and yet you are too blind or stupid to realize people want a change. And they are going to get it.Ironic you allude to the Democrats "stealing"the election. You need to ask W,Jeb,and Katherine Harris about stealing an election.

John Kerry doesn't speak for the entire democratic party. Howard Dean is the head of the DNC.
I won't even get into how you've misquoted his statements. You're more interested in voting on trivial matters than on real issues.

No-- Kerry does NOT speak for the entire party. I don't care that he ran for pres last time.
Technically, Dean speaks for the entire party.
Do you people even read or understand what happens in this country? He DID not bash the troops. He mispoke and intended to bash Bush. He has since apologized for misspeaking and clarified his comment. Are you too pig-headed to be objective?
If dems win, they will not steal the election.
Are you actually in college? geez-- how did you even get out of high school?

as the same as the others, you need to do your research before commenting on who represents the Democrats. That is very important to look at both sides of the story inorder to fully understand the what is going on in the world.

Is it not true that many of our military personnel are serving in Iraq because they joined the military for the educational benefits?
I believe that is what Mr. Kerry was trying to point out.
But as usual lack of ethics jumps on others mistakes and blows them out of proportion to suit their agenda.
Your behavior is disappointing. Mr. Kerry is ethical. He has admitted and apologized his mistake of wording. He also served with honor in our military.
Can you say the same?
