I do not trust the US government. Less now than 6 years ago. The government has not been up front with its people. It has gotten worse since 1946. The last 6 years is even worse because now the government is blatantly trying to change the way we govern. There is a huge increase in classified material and 'for reasons of national security'. The only security that is involved is the political security of those in power.

Trust level remains the same, very low.

Our Congress did not, and does not place the long term interests of this country first. The increases in government spending have been despicable, yet people still claim that it is never enough. We are headed down the road to financial ruin, and nobody cares to address the problem in D.C.

Medicare, Medicaid, Social Security, and endless pork will bring this country to its knees as the Baby Boomers stop contributing to the system and retire. Financial obligations to this generation which has fueled expansions and booms of the last 30 years will sap this country of its fiscal strength.

Reactionary management and the political games that are the core of Washington culture will be the downfall of this nation's continued prosperity.

No more, no less.

I have always had a great deal of trust for the government itself, regardless of the President. I trust that the checks and balances are there. I trust the effort and the intent of those serving (moreso than those elected) to do the best they can (not just Military, but all government employees).

But if you ask if I trust the Bush administration more than I did when I first voted for him in 2000, the answer would have to be that I trust him slightly more. Mainly because he took it upon himself to have the ultimate goal as leader of this country, to prevent us from being attacked again. I may not agree with every decision or policy, but I do trust that he is doing his best and doing it for the sake of the country itself.

I haven't trusted the government further than I could throw a fit for the past 2 decades or more. What fool would actually trust them? Look at how they've stolen our rights, our freedoms, our birthright over the past century!

Far less. This administration used 9/11 to scare the hell out of us in order to promote their far right agenda that favors the very wealthiest Americans at the expense of the middle-class.

Thousands of times more Americans have died because they don't have healthcare than have been killed by terrorists.

Trust government?...search G**gle or Yahoo for "Bush lied" and see how many hits you get.

I wouldn't trust the currenT governement with a penny, let alone my future and tax money. Why? Things are dissappearing faster then ever, jobs are getting harder to come by, they dragged us into a place for a war that had no basis. They wait in the sidelines while more people are dying.

I trust the U.S. Supreme Court far less today than I did exactly 6 years ago. Why did I lose my trust in that corrupt body?

"None are more conscious of the vital limits on its judicial authority than are the members of this Court, and none stand more in admiration of the Constitution's design to leave the selection of the President to the people."

Can you say "hypocrites"?

More. Because I didn't trust Clinton due to the fact that he didn't seem to take his role as President seriously. He was more interested in having fun and seeing what all he could get away with, than trying to stop terrorism.

Less, because our civil rights have come too close to attack and the reasons are covered up by the "war on terror".
Things are not upfront. I don't know what to believe.
