My husband has been on parole for two years. He has had ZERO problems, been working full time, etc. He should even be eligible for early discharge. This morning our neighbor called saying my husband's new parole officer, whom my husband has not yet met, was at the door and the house was surrounded by six police cars and several officers. We had both already gone to work.
My sister, who has dealt with parole officers, said they were probably going to raid the house. I have no idea why, but oh well. I want to know what my rights are. My sister said they can keep me and my daughter there for hours while they search and keep us from work and school. She said they did that to her. I don't care if they search the house because we have nothing to hide, but I have never been late to work in ten years, and my daughter has never had an absence or tardy in her seven years of school. Can they detain me while they search? I am not the one on parole.

This raccoon is not afraid of humans and is out during the day. At times it has kept me indoors and won't let me out of my mobile home. I've been told by the owners of the park that it is my responsibility but since I pay "lot rent" I feel they should be taking care of this. I reside in Davenport, Florida and trappers want $429 to trap it (which I don't have). I'm unable to find anything pertaining to this at the Florida Fish and Wildlife website. Thank you for any assistance that you can provide.

that is to say- those politicians who we put into power (and supposedly represent us) won't be THAT necessary anymore?
Of course, we will still need SOME of them.
For example, just think if lobbyists couldn't simply pay-off that one swing vote to pass a law- they would have to convince MILLIONS of voters.
Or, if the majority of voters want to let gay couples get married and have the same rights (and problems pertaining to divorce) as heterosexual couples- we could directly vote for it.
Or, if we were to vote on the war in Iraq and if we should pull-out, send more troops, etc.

My neighbor's daughter is away at college and they've left her car, a junky old faded silver VW 89 Jetta, parked right at the property line for months, rarely moving it, about five feet from my driveway entrance.

I don't like the way it looks, that it almost blocks where I have to put the yard waste garbage can every week, just in that 5 foot area, and the garbage truck has to edge right next to her car to reach it, nor the way I can't really see my driveway when entering from the street until the last second.

BTW, I've never spoken to the neighbors since they've lived here four or five years now, so communication probably isn't the answer.

Did you choose because of your friends, job or other influence? Do you vote down your lines and do you break that line of you believe a candidate represents your ideas better?

Some people forgets that Mexicans have any tools needed to open holes in any fence.

Haters need to know that goverment is using this wall JUST TO GET YOUR VOTES.

When women try and get men jailed for 15 years, for rape.I believe they should do the time they tried to impose on thier innocent victim.

Think about it, the accused will never be free from suspition, real rape victims are affected as they have to prove they arent lying as well. The families of the wrongly accused may always be wondering, what if!

A woman recently was found to be lying for the fourth time, yet escaped almost unpunished, compared to the sentance her victim would have got. As this does happen fairly regular, is it about time mens identities were kept secret, until the facts are gathered?

Maybe then, more women would see true justice quicker, and innocent men would not, have thier lives ruined

Okay, so many of you voiced n the last question. You missed the point of the question so lets revisit it in a new light. since it is illegal what many of these are doing. What should the law makers do to take the illegal out of illegal immigrant? Should we open the gates to all applicants? Should we just allow migratory workers to come into the US and fill the much needed slots, and if so, how do we make sure that Social Services, Health Care and similar programs are not adversely affected(not that Health Care is not already bad enough right now)? What should be considerded illegal for immigrants? Should we allow known criminals a chance to "restart" a life or ban certain types? Tell me some ideas. Don't just gripe, give us ideas and use the big picture. If you want to up the number of migratory workers, state how they should be selected, how they are monitored and how they are cared for. Please keep this a valid discussion, no racist comments and generally poor attitudes

what happens when that much water vapor is released into the atmosphere through hydrogen fuel cells?

There is no possible way to comlpetely understand the outcome of so much water vapor being released into the atmoshphere.

Lets say that half of the cars on the road used hydrogen fuel cells and the other half used gasoline. In high traffic areas like Los Angeles you could have some very nasty rains falling down.

Do I need to be a U.S. citizen for that? I am married to a U.S. citizen for over 5 yrs now. I am currently in Brazil taking care of my parents and my husband is in the U.S. working. How do I apply for my parents and my brother? My brother has cerebral palsy, he's 22, completely dependent on us, so he would have to go together with my parents. I've heard that parents have priority on the application. Is there a way my brother could also be accepted, since he's handicapped? He couldn't stay here by himself. And I'm the only closest family member who would be able to take care of the 3 of them.

War for freedom, Oil, Human rights, corruption and genocide.
We live in 21st century where the problems and political issues between warring continents has taken a nasty role. Gorrilla wars, Using the name of religion and country for personal interests and personal goals, abusing human rights? how anyone known how
many people die of hunger each year? we have had too much of
this non sense war on terror and war on oil based on personal grounds of two or three lunatics. we are not together in a single cause in this world, even the UN role is questionable where if the west or US do not get wat they want, they just do wat they want!
so where will we get our unity and wen wil we get the human rights on top, as God did, and every holy and spiritual religion believes and knows that!
