issue a warrant for his arrest!

In the US they issue a warrant. For something so small as a speeding ticket though, he should just be able to go to the courthouse and pay it off. It will probably be a little more expensive than the initial fine was, but he should be ok.

Does your b-friend have an attorny? If he does.. he needs just to call them and let them know what happened..the attorney should have been there for him.. and might have been. If he has a warrent for a no show court aperance.. they can quash it for you.. if not.. he needs to call the clerk of the court in the area and find tell them what happend and try to re schedule the court date.. they may tell you he has a warrent and he will need to turn him self in and bail him self out ($100.00) in order to re set the date...or call an attoney and have them take care of it and get a new court date but they will probably charge you more than what the bail is... also you can call the local police dept and ask that if he comes in himself.. will they waive the bail as he is no threat and it was an honest mistake. - If the accident was his fault.. also have him call the Car Ins. company and make sure that all was taken care of by them so when he goes to court he looks like he has it together and did what he needed to do in order to make who ever he hit happy!!!

GOOD LUCK!!

the legal system is basically based on the English system of law so i will assume that a felony offense a bench warrant will be issued for his arrest and that a suspension of drivers operators previlage will be forfeited until a court appearence and resolution for a minor offense

*received* and yes he will go to jail he now has a bench warrant for his arrest out. tell him to turn himself in so he can get the whole process of getting booked and released out of the way it will only take around 6-8 hours.

Change your boyfriend. Very unreliable. Do you want to marry a man like that? He might even forget the wedding date.

In the US... they would issue a warrant immediately. He would be arrested and then have to post bail.

NOT a good thing here. Not a good thing there I would imagine.

Have him go turn himself in.
