And with these young Men & Woman coming home from the War disabled before they had a chance to build a Nest egg to fall back on. There are more Men & women coming home Disabled in this War then there was in Vietnam and Korea but together It is very hard to make a living on SSDI alone and with the high cost of everything that is Associated with being disabled. These Men & Woman gave a lot for there Country it is time we do more for them if everyone was taxed the same across the board on all income a flat tax of 15% for everyone no right off and not stop paying after $90,000. There are a lot of people in this Country that make more then $90,000 and most have very good tax advisors that find all the loop holes and right offs. They say they pay more others say they pay less but a flat tax no deductions or right offs it would be fair for all and SSI would not be in trouble of running out of mone
I am sure I am going to get a lot of negitive remarks here from people that are not disabled

I do not favor abortion, unless it is necessary due to a life-threatening situation. But I figure if we have abortion legalized, why isn't stem cell research allowed to be practiced?
If abortion is permitted to take place and stem cell research is not, then where are the aborted fetuses going? Into the garbage? Is that ethical?
I suppose abortion and stem cell research should go hand-in-hand because at least the aborted fetuses will be going to good use helping people...instead of being thrown away!
Don't you agree?

There are clearly people from all countries here illegally. Ireland and the U.S. are considering an agreement that would in a since grant amnesty to the illegal immigrants here from Ireland. See following story. Should this be allowed?

DUBLIN (Reuters) - Thousands of Irish citizens living unlawfully in the United States could be legalized in return for more work permits for U.S. citizens lured to Ireland by its thriving economy, an Irish minister said on Wednesday.
"There is clear evidence to support the establishment of some form of bilateral agreement between the U.S. and Irish governments," Labour Minister Tony Killeen said in a statement after he returned from a trip to New York.
Killeen said that, while 30,000 to 40,000 illegal Irish immigrants were living in the United States, two centuries of mass emigration to the United States from Ireland because of famine and unemployment was clearly now at an end.

It seems unfair to grant this to the Irish only!

It has been 5 years and 1.5 months since the terrible September 11 terrorist attacks. And the government has STILL made no effort to increase surveillance of our insecure borders. Because of this, we will never be completely safe.
And not to mention THIS is why illegal immigration is such an issue nowadays. There has been speculation that the government wants illegal immigrants to continue invading our country because they support our major corporations, who are able to pay them incredibly low wages.
And eventually Bush is going to implement his guest-worker program. The Bush Administration's unwavering resolve to do nothing other than the pathetic 700-mile border fence is completely unacceptable.

If anyone argues that the government is not encouraging illegal immigration on purpose, then WHY is the government doing NOTHING about it??

Let's just say, somebody had the notion that our American way of existing was being put to a new test. Let's just say that they had the skills, training, work experience and talent to pursue events that would lead to change in the betterment of our Nation. Social Theorist John Stuart Mills, termed it "UTILITARIANISM" any individual doing what is the better for the majority? Making decisions that are for the entire society especially those that effect changes like that of the Boston Tea Party. Do you feel those early Americans had the right to destory products from a "Corporate" foreign entity, in their expression of LIBERTY? We are the defenders of our own fate, and to protect ourselves and fellow citizens to the best of our ability, seems very Patriotic to me. How many think those early Americans, were wrong for doing what they did, in our "CURRENT" defense? Of course some events can be handled in much more passive ways, yet when it comes to CONSUMER RIGHTS , let it be!
