Could the story of his self cure from alcoholism have been invented, to give him the appearance of having a strong character?

I agree about the illegals, it is very hard to find a good job..they are taking Americans work & pay away!!! Not to mention the countless accidents and pain they cause (with no car insurance!)
Schools are overloaded now, making the American tax payer really pay for it!
When is Bush gonna grow up and take care of us U.S. Citizens first??? I live in Texas, and it looks alot like mexico....:(

America supported Saddam to fight Iran.
America supported Taliban to fight Russia.
America isolated Arafat and it gets Hamas.
America's one and only foreign policy is always "My enemy's enemy is my friend" has been proved wrong and wrong again and created more more lethal anti-america believers.
But I think America's biggest foreign policy nightmare would be when all Islamic regimes become democratic and fight America with a popular mandate from their people.Hamas is the kind of harbinger America has to deal with in the future.
What do you think ? Tell me what you think will be America's biggest foreign policy nightmare.

they repeatedly try and prove that creationism is a myth (even if it doesnt contradict creationism), they look down on American history as if every other country were perfect (like liberals), they show Lisa as the smart one (while most liberals are crack addicts on welfare and "special" college programs), they show evil characters such as Burns as Republicans(not all Reps are rich, but thanks for the compliment, libs :-). besides, if taxes are lower then everyone pays less to a corrupt government), they always advocate vegetarianism and show the meatlovers as animals themselves, they show religious characters as naive, radical, or indifferent(yet Jesse Jackson is also a reverend and a democrat), the list goes on and on.

by the way, for you devout atheists, this isnt a question about religion, i dont consider any "evidence" as unbiased toward any side. its especially funny when an atheist tries to interpret a religious text.

Whenever you are given a ticket for some stupid thing like dog licence, grass to high, doing 58 in a 55 always go to court and make the ticket writer come in for their testimony. I got pulled over by a typical "Barny" because he said I went through a light on yellow. He made numerous mistakes in the ticket including weather conditions...in his testimony he said that it wasn't raining...then I asked him to read out loud what he wrote on the ticket...then asked him which time did he lie...today or when he wrote this...I got his little moron head spinning. ALWAYS fight these people..they want $$$$ PERIOD...no matter what they tell you don't believe them. Make them PAY by fighting everything they do, the laws (most) are set up to protect us from these money grabers..if nothing else it will cost them for the time and effort...and then maybe they will get off the people backs$$$

FIGHT, FIGHT...NEVER give up!!!!!!

BTW..I am only speaking of the little petty crimes designed to make $$$$$

This is for research for my novel. I know that if you're a cop, there's a device that allows him to change the light from red to green, and is in emergency vehicles. Do you know what it's called?

Ok here is my thoughts. Part of the problem with our southern border is that there is no real punishment when illegals are caught entering. Here is what I think we should do. When they are caught entering then the sentance for the crime is one year in a work camp. The work camp then bids for contracts on construction work etc... Should be enough income to pay for the program and put some into other areas like education. After they serve the year then they are returned home.

If you look at the numbers, 680 000 dead and the whole population of Iraq 28 million- does this mean that 2.3% of Iraq's population have died because of the war?

Is there any hope of rebuilding? There's today an exodus of Iraqis to Europe and other countries leaving Iraq bereft of its most skilled workers. I personally think that unless something changes soon, a formerly developed nation will not be so developed anymore. Iraq will become a dead nation, with only religious institutions active.

It's easy to be skeptical about the government, but in this case I'd like to give Bush the benefit of the doubt. How is the 700-mile long fence that President Bush authorized today going to be better than previous fences?

According to T.J. Bonner, "A fence will slow people down by a minute or two, but if you don't have the agents to stop them it does no good."

But I'd like to think that this fence is somehow better than previous fences. Maybe if someone knows where I could some blueprints of the fence or perhaps an article explaining why this fence is so great it would satisfy my curiosity. Thanks!

I suspect one major reason is the same federal government that refuses to secure our borders and enforce our immigration laws is determined not to accurately measure the number of illegal aliens in the country so as to further cover up both the cost of illegal immigration and the necessity of creating a rational public policy.

We do know that the government of Mexico encourages its poorest citizens to cross our border, to live and work in the United States. And we know that illegal aliens are sending back to Mexico more than $20 billion in remittances per year, according to the Bank of Mexico. Those remittances from Mexican citizens living in the United States are one of the largest sources of foreign income for the nation of Mexico, neck and neck with oil revenue.

No wonder that President Vicente Fox and the government of Mexico not only encourage Mexican citizens to illegally cross our borders, but also fight strenuously against American efforts to control that border.

Illegal aliens are an important part of a one trillion-dollar underground economy in America, according to Barron's. Illegal employers hire illegal aliens who pay little or no income taxes, and whose children are provided free schooling. Illegal aliens receive medical and social services, and over the past decade have displaced more than two million low-skilled American workers from their jobs.

Because the federal government refuses to enforce immigration laws, cities and towns all over the country are being forced to take on the illegal immigration crisis. Escondido, California, became the latest city with the courage to pass an ordinance prohibiting landlords from renting to illegal aliens.

over the house. Then, with that said, Pelosi would probably be the Speaker of the House. Does it scare anyone else that if something were to happen to the President and Vice President, then Pelosi would be our new President? How scary would that be? I am being very serious, how scary would that be?

Why do so many not realize that illegal means against the law? Does this mean that you want the laws repealed and the borders opened? Why do all the countries in the world have such laws in the first place? I really need to know. Why do we accept thousands of immigrant applications each month and yet still have such a problem?
