I just found out that the ship I spent 4 years of my life onboard was sunk this last summer during Rimpac '06. I knew it was decommissioned last year, but had no idea they would sink it.

Anyone have any memories of her?

A new federal study shows one third of active credit card holders were charged a late fee without just reason in the past year.

If this has happened to you, write to your representative about this. Congress needs to hear testimonials.

I think the question sums up everything i'm trying to get across...

But i'll elaborate just in case.

People find it easy to complain about the state of the world and the economy and all other worldly issues. But i don't see these people doing anything about it.

Conversating doesn't exactly solve any problems.

Unless it's the world leaders conversating. And the only reason their conversations have any effect is because they hold the power to make things happen.

But i'm of the mindset that we all can make the world a better place. Through newsletters, actions, enlightenment, support of certain subjects, etc...

Most criticism I hear is based upon the government. If people judge America by it's government and leader, it's not that positive of an outlook either. All countries have a shift in power over history, at one point France helped the US gaining independence from Britain.
Also, the people themselves have interesting culture. It is different from America. I don't think it's snobbish. I think it's etiquette, that some of us have lost in the midst of our growth as a country.
Opinions on this subject please.

I was leafing through seventeen magazine and i came across some blatantly politically biased articles about supporting the troops and lesbians murdering *good wholesome christian grandparents* does this bother anyone else that the republican agenda has seeped into entertainment as well?

I know a guy name Jim Bob, and he went AWOL during his AIT training in the U.S. Military. He was eventually processed out of the Military with a general discharge I believe. Anyway, he is applying for a police officer job, and he told the background investigator that he had never been in the Military. I told him he should have been honest about it as they could find out in the background investigation that he served and this would destroy his chances of becoming an officer as he tried to conceal this information.

alot of people talk down on immigration how does it really affect any of them? we have immigrants coming in from all over the world. if they are going to put a wall on the border then why not put one on the border of canada? why not have something on the east coast for the people that are coming from cuba? it just seems that mexico is the biggest target when all they really do is come here for work just like every other immigrant. and as for the crimes that occures every single race is involve.

Religion and Politics as far as I can see, both have killed more people than any other illegal drug that I know of. Forget alcahol, speed, ecxtazy, coke and heroin ,as if they made these legal they would take them out of the hands of the gangsters and be able to moniter addicts, they would be able to get clean needles so aids would not be such a problem. Just something to think about.???
