No. Bush could end world hunger, find a cure for AIDS and cancer, put a million dollars in every American's pocket, and the left would still complain.

He's had six and a half years to do that.

Do you actually think the American people would care now if he were to change his policies? People are smart enough to know

that he'll only be doing this just to help his party win the elections - not help the American people because what he spends on Iraq

wouldn't even compare to what would be spent on Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid.

You've got to look at the big picture here folks. The Democrats are full of crap as well.

DEAR GOD !! Will you IGNORANT people PLEASE go READ THE UNITED STATES CONSTITUTION !!

The President does NOT control the money the Nation SPENDS !! THAT is done by CONGRESS (of which 50% HAS been for the LAST 4 YEARS Democrats)

IF the Democrats TRULY wanted to FIX things... they are a MERE few votes in Congress from passing laws... the could DO it if they wish !!

And please don't whine about Republican members blocking it in Committee... sure there are tabled bills, and little tricks that can be done to stall...

BUT if it was a sound and good bill... you publicize it to the media... let the people KNOW... and it will end up back in committee and head to a vote.

Bush doesn't have the authority to "throw" money into anything. Congress controls spending and appropriations.

What might help the Republicans' chances would be more voters who were actually informed about how the government really works.

Medicare and Medicaid are properly worth having as long as they're monitored and held in verify. the priority with those courses is the fraud and waste. something run by potential of the government loses money and government courses as they're now might properly be very inefficient.
