There's a BIG waste of 1.2 billion dollars, which won't stop people from coming. They're only making 1/3 of the fence accross the border. I think it's Bush's last ditch effort to look like he can follow through on anything.

Its too late for a fence. Isnt there one there already and havent they climbed over it?? If they're going to do anything that will do any good they need to start inside the country. This is the only way the problem will be really resolved.

I am glad that President Bush is doing something to fix the problem, but I think the only way to really stop them is to pop the suckers off one by one as they sneak in. I doubt their life is that worthless compared to their living conditions to them.

Well first off good question, but I feel there is so many illegal people here now, no gates getting them out, it will take the government to get them out, not a fence geesh! Anything to waste money here.

EDIT....
I guess I should have thought illegal people could vote here lol they have rights in the USA as we do, except NO TAXES man that would be great !

A freakin' fence! Is he serious? They risk their lives coming over her in rafts and he thinks that a d*mn fence will slow them down?! Can he do anything more stupid?! It just another asinine move in the Bush administration

I think it is a good "start" to solving the problem. It can't be the only thing we do to correct this problem. A fence alone is not the answer.

I'd love to have one of the pens he used to sign this bill.
