The illegal in Illegal immigrant revisited?

Okay, so many of you voiced n the last question. You missed the point of the question so lets revisit it in a new light. since it is illegal what many of these are doing. What should the law makers do to take the illegal out of illegal immigrant? Should we open the gates to all applicants? Should we just allow migratory workers to come into the US and fill the much needed slots, and if so, how do we make sure that Social Services, Health Care and similar programs are not adversely affected(not that Health Care is not already bad enough right now)? What should be considerded illegal for immigrants? Should we allow known criminals a chance to "restart" a life or ban certain types? Tell me some ideas. Don't just gripe, give us ideas and use the big picture. If you want to up the number of migratory workers, state how they should be selected, how they are monitored and how they are cared for. Please keep this a valid discussion, no racist comments and generally poor attitudes

See, here it is again. I stated that illegal is illegal in the orginial post. So many of you sliced it down and stomped on it. I ask you how to fix the problem and again I get sliced dwon stomped on and eaten. So which is it? Do we need reform to immigration or do we stay staus quo and up the bounty for every illegal captured?

Oh and I forgot, The indians originally welcomed us. Their belief was that no one owned the land, and you could come and go as you wanted. With that theory, we would eliminate immigration law. We also cannot beat ourselves up for things done 300 years ago by people that for many are not even our ancestors. My grandparents immigrated legally to the US and that is how I am a citizen. They too were citizens after they did their required immigration paperwork and requirements, which included learning English. But so many of you love to raise these topics without the true facts, just spoon fed information you got from some college professor. So get back to the question. What reforms if any should be sought and why? Remember to include any changes to other programs that would be affected.

Illegal is illegal.... We should immediately strictly enforce our immigration laws using local, state & federal authorities. We should cut off all social services including education. We must repeal the 14th amendment. We should close our border threatening mexico with sanctions if they don't cooperate. The Illegals should be finger printed prior to leaving our country and entered into a database. These criminals could not enter our country for any reason - they have shown they have no respect for our laws. - this would mean the different departments would have to co-operate with each other so the legal status could be verified, anywhere, anytime. Parents with anchor babies would have the option of leaving them here or taking them back to mexico with little support from our government. With strict enforcement on our borders it should take no more than 2 years to accomplish this. When, and if, businesses need migrant workers for a certain length of time that need will be communicated to the government and arrangements made with mexico to "allow" x number across the border for so & so and a record kept and possibly an ID card. If a person that has entered to work does not show-up to work it would be the responsibility of the business to contact the govt. they should issue something like an Amber alert until that person is caught and penalized. It would be the responsibility of the business to pay a liveable wage and also be responsible for any medical care needed because of employment. At the end of their employment the business would give them a free ride back across the border. If anyone is caught in our country illegally there should be a mandatory sentence...they should be kept in "tent" prisons with nothing other than bare essentials. This is certainly not all encompassing but ANY of these measures would be a start. It's time to get tough on illegals in our country. Some will yell racist, some think this is to harsh, others too lenient but bottom line the security of America & Americans depends on it! I'm shocked neither political party has any one with a logical mind that can't figure this out - I think it's called corruption!

This whole thing's gotten stupid. Illegal immigration's illegal, so, put an end to it. Throw the rhetoric right back at the salesmen that first sold you on it, get your money back, and support the US Border Patrol!
