Is not stoping it now so what is going to be different about this wall.
Some people forgets that Mexicans have any tools needed to open holes in any fence.
Haters need to know that goverment is using this wall JUST TO GET YOUR VOTES.

We don't need more guards or walls all we need to do get all those "Americans" on walfare and uneployment off their Butt and send them to do what Illegal immigrants are doing. and if you are not willing to get to work you need to STOP hateing illegal immigrants.

The Israelis built a wall to keep terrorists out and it works far better than no wall at all. Don't you think a wall to keep illegal aliens out will work better than nothing? If you don't, you need to remove your head from your rectum and get a clue.
And we have the tools to keep the Mexicans from opening holes in that wall. We have everything from infrared night-vison equipment to seismic listening devcices to dogs to my personal favorite, the 5.56mm bullet travelling toward its target at 3200+ feet per second.

It is a fence.......not a wall, so lets keep perspective here. It is a deterant, not a 100% answer. It is PART of the solution. I doubt seriously there is a 100% perfect, 1 time, fool proof answer to all this. For every good lier and thief there's always someone that can do better. Is that the lifestyle you want to live in? Not me. And I certainly don't want a huge group of anybodys here that have no respect for anything. I don't want to look at every person I meet knowing it's not a matter of "if " they'll screw me over but when. I don't want to live not being able to trust people in general. I don't want to be around people who feel if they scream louder or carry a bigger stick that they can just take what I've worked for because they feel like it. That's the mentality of barbarians and gangs and terriorists.

One of the other fences is doing its job very well in California
For example, over a 10 -mile stretch of the border near San Diego, arrests of illegal immigrants have plummeted from about 25,000 per year three years ago to 3,000 per year today. Violent crimes have virtually come to a halt in that area, according to the San Diego PD.
The reason? The government built a fence. Or more precisely, a complex of two 16-foot high steel fences separated by a wide road.
It takes so much time to climb the first fence and cut through the second that apprehension is practically inevitable. Illegals have simply stopped trying to enter along the fenced border.

Look at what the Government is trying to come up with, to block illegal immigration. I have to say that could be a smart idea, but not that smart. People will sacrafice themselves to find a way over that fence. When in search for a new life, one will overcome the hardest thing possible to find that life. Thats something that many dont even worry about.

There isn't a wall there now, except in certain spots. But in places where there IS one, the crime rate went down. The illegals go to other places to enter. A wall will make all of the border hard to cross, and hopefully cut down crime, school bankruptcy and hospital bankruptcy because illegals get their services for free and it is breaking the hospitals and schools.

Time will tell...I think the fence is a GREAT idea! Mexico's alREADY bitching about it...and they haven't even built it yet! LOLOL
Haters? I don't think it's hate, I think it's about 20 years overdue, frankly...a lot of politicians have tried to dance around this one,
it's just time to deal with it. Put in the fence, put more border patrol out there too, employer enforcement, end the 'sanctuary city' business, and finally put a lid on this problem. Problem solved, everybody happy...except the people trying to systematically break our laws. That's close enough for me...

You've asked the million-dollar question.
We've already had problems with illegals digging tunnels.
So you are correct: a fence won't stop the flow.
The announcement about this fence is so clearly a political ploy to pretend that our government is seriously addressing the illegal immigration problem.
But I suppose there are plenty of people being fooled by this ploy.

What they really need to do is bring our soliders home from Iraq and put guard towers every 1/4 of a mile and let our soliders protect our borders.
