I am a Canadian and working on TN visa. I am planning to apply for Green Cad. But as TN visa is not dual intent unlike H1B, some people are saying that its hard to get GC. and if rejected i will not be able to apply for TN visa any more and also to go out of the country i need to apply for advance payroll. Can anyone please tell me how long will it take to get I-140, I-485, EAD and Advance Payroll to get approved and what are the chances of getting approved. Did anyone get Green Card from TN? and how long did it take for them.. Your answers are highly appreciated.. Thanks..

I think the whole question of whether or not we should have gone there is irrelevant because we are there now and whats done is done. I'm curious as to what peoples objective opinions of the pros/cons of immediate troop withdrawl from Iraq. Please no disgruntled rightwinger and leftwinger answers (you know who you are). Just honest and objective opinions minus the angry responses and finger pointing.

five years later after 9/11? Why weren't they closed on Sept 12, 2001? Why haven't they been closed for homeland security reasons from the get go? Or is this just a tool to be used for election purposes? Don't you think there has been some neglect here for the last 5 years anyway?

The word "tolerance" -- A funny word. Do you feel, as I do , that "tolerance" which more or less means or involves VOLUNTARILY ACCEPTING SOMETHING THAT IS TOTALLY FOREIGN TO OUR RELIGION OR CULTURE OR IS SOMETHING THAT WE DO NOT REALLY LIKE ?? Otherwise, what could "tolerance" possibly be ???! When a governement speaks out that "we are a tolerant society", how do they know that ? Have we been asked ? NO ! Example, Muslim ladies wearing those veils and now even in front of class rooms. Who's tolerant to that here. I am not... so that is count ONE. Let's have your votes, please. No insults please. I really would like to know if you feel governments are putting words in out mouths. Thank you.

I filed for divorce about a week ago, I paid to have a sheferiff serve him the paper work. I got it all back in the mail yesturday sayting he moved to a different city and his lawyer would take service. Am I legally obligated to give those papers to his lawyer/him after I already paid to have them served to him? This guy is a serious ******. He's got arrest warrents, restraining orders, restraining/probation violations, I'm trying to everything I can to keep him away from myself and my daughter, I don't have to get those papers to him after already attemping to give them to him, do I? I know MORALLY it would be wrong but...can't I say "well I tried" if I'm asked by a judge or someone?

We are allowed to vote for Idol on TV, do you think we could replace local, state and federal politicians by giving everyone a text phone/PDA which could enable us to vote on every issue affecting us, rather than electing representatives who may or may not vote the way we want?

Does any party have a policy of improving democracy or are we to believe that it is perfect?

Can You think of a good name for this system?

Non-technological safeguards needed?

How to bring up issues- beaureucratic advice and Citizen initated referenda? The phone could act as a community noticeboard for ideas/schemes.

But how can they let a man, who has been a vicious bully to myself, I have got over that, but more importantly his 4 year old son have any rights. The father is a regular cannibbis smoker, and yes it does lead to mental health issues. He didnt work for 4 years as he suffered from stress and severe anger management issues, which he never followed up the therapy offered to him. His son is scared and intimidated by him and screams if he tries to talk to him, I have tried to reason with my child about this but he simply states that he hates daddy and that his daddy is a naughty man. I am at a loss of what i can do to try and argue this issue, my solicitor has stated that he will get parental resposibility as he is not a rapist!!! Surely there must be something that I can do to try and protect my child? Anyone out there had some familiar dealings with this please any info would be grateful?

Why there is no government-led health care or social care system in the U.S.? Well, there is social security, but it is not really a good one compared to the other nations like France, Japan, etc. Ours is really poor.

I think this lack of quality national care creates many problem in this society.

Why there isn't a such one? And will there be?
