What are Americans more concerned about, I asked a stupid question about Americans not being awake yet and get all the snotty answers, I ask a serious question about maybe the American govt. is bordering on fascism and no real reaction from the, usually I would get the standard 'what do you know you terrorist' reaction, what gives, is it possible that American priorities are not what they should, do they care more about stupid questions on the internet rather than their own govt.?

Once again I apologize for shooting insults. I am not going to provide facts because you can do it yourself. Don't listen to anyone. Do the research yourself and you can see how it all fits in.

My apologies.

For example, I am a true Southern girl. I LOVE the South! So, this morning on my way to work, I was wondering-how many people are actually happy with the city/town they live in?

The problem with Iraq as I see it is that we are using our military as a police force. Our military is designed to be warriors. We won the Iraq battle a few years ago. I feel that keeping our troops in Iraq is like a turkey shoot for the terrorists. We need to get our boys home. What is the best solution to the Iraq quagmire?

I know this question opens the door for a lot of stupid jokes and insults from both sides but I'm serious. Liberal and Conservative are labels from the 19th Century that don’t work in the 21st.
For example:
Nation Building and what we're doing in Iraq: is that a liberal or conservative idea?

The national debt: putting more and more of a burden on future generations. Is that a liberal or conservative thing when both parties are guilty?

I can and will ask the same thing about big government. Conservatives used to be against it but now under their watch, the federal government is bigger that it ever was.

Think about it and give me your answer. Please try to restrain yourself from making silly Lib & Con jokes.

Many people fault others for criticizing Bill Clinton. They use any means to make these people seem petty or unworthy of serious consideration. The fact that he had oral sex in the oval office is not what detractors care about. Rather they don't like the fact that he lied about it both under oath and when addressing the American people. This creates a credibilty issue, because it begs the question what else did you lie about?

Mr. Clinton is still a relevant issue for 2 reasons.

There are legitimate questions about some of the actions he took while President. We are not getting answers, but rather an attempted whitewash of his administration for everything questionable.

The man is still publically making efforts to influence and effect policy in this country. To this end the press gives anything he does or says large amounts of play. This very action opens him up to legitimate consideration and additional criticism.

What say you?
Please be civil in your answers.

Military Commission Act?

I find the current administration and nearly everything it stands for - a police state, perpetual war, spending recklessly while taxing the poor and middle class, corruption, hypocricy, etc. repugnant.

On the other hand I am not a classic liberal - I think a lot of the New Society had to be repealed. And I find the Democrats politically weak.

SO, what's left for reasonable Americans? I feel more and more like a Libertarian. I wish there was a Moderate or Centrist Party.

We have a three month baby. After having my baby he wanted to get a divorce just because me and his mom didn't get along. Just to make her happy. What an jerk he is. Right now he is in basic training for the Army. In the begining he said he was gonna separate calling time with me and his mom.He had just 2 mins and a half to talk to me. I need him the most. He really dont care about our relationship. I dont think i can handle him like this. He told me he wil not change. He isn't a man, he is afraid to let her go cuz she is a widow, so if he doesn't talk to her then she'll cry her eyes out. We live upstairs from her and when he was here he always had to go down and say good morning or g'nite. What am i suppose to do.No i didn't know he was like this before getting pregnant to him.
