Can this person legally get out the lease? If yes, how?

If no, what are some other alternatives other than paying off the lease?

My cell has limited minutes and is only used for emergencies. It's supposed to be listed on the no call registry (I know that list does not apply to non-profits, but pleeeese...politicians!). The call was from Jim Barnett who is the opponent to Kansas governor Kathleen Sebelius. Where do politicians get off calling cell phones and leaving prerecorded voicemails? Are there any laws at the federal or state level about this? I would be interested about laws from any state so I can try to get these bozos off my phone here too.

What message is that sending to our enemies? Same message when we cut and run in Somalia in 1993?

What message would it send our troops?

George Walker Bush did not win the election in 2000. Katherine Harris disenfranchised an enormous amount of black voters. If your name was the same as a convicted criminal, or if your first initial, and your last name was the same, your name was pulled from the voter rolls. Many black people who were eligible to vote were actually stopped by Florida Highway Patrol and kept from being able to get to the polls.

Even after the voting was done, there were terrific flaws in the counting of the ballots. When the good guys asked for a re-count of the ballots, the bad guys refused to do it.

They, eventually took the case to George Herbert Walker Bush's appointees (The gang of five) on the Supreme Court, and they stopped the re-count, and appointed George Walker Bush as the president.

Later, after all ballots were finally counted, it was found that Al Gore got nearly 1,000,000 more votes than did the bad guys.

if poll sites already require drivers license or passport and official registration?

It's not like illegal immigrants are voting. They would have to get on the books. Right?

You go to an expert to operate on you and an expert to fix your car, an expert to rebuild parts of your house, etc.

But when it comes to political wtiting online, no degree and/or education is needed anymore. Anyone with a username can open a blog and make uncheckable claims- no knowledge of actual events is required.

Is it coming to the point where there are so many uneducated people blogging about politics that it takes more effort to separate the truth from fiction than it did before there were blogs?

Are the uneducated mass of poltical blogs really hurting the idea of democracy and free exchanges of rational thought by drowning out the rationality with nonsense under the guise of "free expression?"

As a former syndicated editorialist for a newspaper, I find that most blogs are poorly written and the writers are poorly educated on the issues.

What makes Joe Shmoe from Nowhere, USA think people will award his opinions about Global politics any merit ?

My friend's father killed the man who killed his daughter and got away with it because they still haven't found the body. I don't know where it is, of course, this is all just what my friend told me. Do you know anyone who's gotten away with murder? Maybe through the legal concept of double jeopardy, perhaps?

I can't think of any. Please tell me why this is a problem. I voted in early voting yesterday. I purposely waited to see if I would be asked for ID and I was. So, if you are against it, tell me why?

I think that if police are going to crack down on erratic driving that it is extremely narrow-minded to single out drunk drivers. At least drunk drivers are only dangerous when drunk, whereas egotistical jerks are egotistical jerks even when they're sober.

Our lease expired 9/31. We payed rent for Oct. just like any other month. We found a house to rent for Nov. 1, our landlord said we will not get security deposit back because of short notice. We had never discussed a lease extention with them. Do they have the right to keep our money?

We all pay the same level of taxes and contributions throughout the UK so shouldn't we all get the same benefits and opportunities in return? Already Scottish students don't have to pay top-up fees at university, and Scottish pensioners get free care. Is this grounds for discrimination on the basis of 'nationality' or is this just part of the political jerimandering going on right now - which includes the Labour Government closing down more hospitals in Tory Constituencies of the country than in Labour Constituencies.
