Because it works for them! When illegals can vote they vote for the party that will open the borders, give them free health care and other entitlements that you and I pay for (and will be paying a lot more for). To say that a FREE delivered-to-your-door voter ID is in anyway discrimination (they use this ploy a lot) is ludicrous! Does ANYONE buy that argument?

Illegals and under aged people need to also stop voting. This is why the democrats are fighting the ID tooth and nail. They apparently don't think they can win an honest election.

We have voter ID cards in Florida and they don't work. Our department of elections is too stupid to send them out.
I've requested mine 3 times and I still don't have one. I can vote anyway by showing my driver's license, but I've heard that African Americans are often refused their right to vote if they don't have their card.
