I was a software engineer for over 19 years. I feel that the new computerized machines are a really bad idea. To easy for a government to fix an election.

The machines where I vote are optical scanners, don't think they are fixed. Also the number of votes has to be less than or equal to the number of ballots handed out. And the ballots are available for recounting and easier to check than punched cards. I recommend this over the newer machines.

I think the whole system is rigged, between the unreliable Diebold electronic machines, the special interest groups, the crooked political process, the absentee ballots which disappear, and so on.

Fixed, anyway all candidates seem to suck! If I could give them thumbs down like on here, I would. Give me an honest candidate and I will vote!
