Today, 135 years to the day after the last American President (Ulysses S. Grant) suspended habeas corpus, President Bush signed into law the Military Commissions Act of 2006. At its worst, the legislation allows President Bush or Donald Rumsfeld to declare anyone — US citizen or not — an enemy combatant, lock them up and throw away the key without a chance to prove their innocence in a court of law. In other words, every thing the Founding Fathers fought the British empire to free themselves of was reversed and nullified with the stroke of a pen, all under the guise of the War on Terror.

It is my understanding that Ted Turner recently gave the United Nations one Billion Dollars.

Does he own it then, or is he a lobbyist for his own personal causes, or what?

I mean what would the United Nations do with one Billion Dollars, it is my understanding that country's are very wealthy already, don't they all contribute to help each other, or does Ted own his own country?

I mean when any organization takes that kind of money from a singular individual, then do they do that persons bidding?

Is he trying to dismantle the constituion and our rights or what reintroduce the Monarchy?

Would you get married with a friend that needs a green card to stay in the us?
I'm myself an immigrant legally settled in the us with a temporary visa, and I heard from lots of people "why don't you marry a US citizen?"
A lawyer even told me it was the fastest way.

How do you feel about it?

thanks
