I have $50000 in student loans, what branch of service would pay the most of it? I'm a year away from getting my nursing degree but I can get a liberal arts degree with 1 class. What should I do?

The Army has the most money for bonuses. They were paying (year 2000) up to $65,000 in student loans if, 1) You qualified for it, 2) you took a job with that bonus (not all were combat arms), 3) you're loans are NOT in default.

Good luck

I don't know about the other services, but, in some states, the National Guard will repay up to 30,000 dollars in student loans, as well as give you the GI Bill (about 300/ a month) while you are in school.

The best way to find out is to talk to as many different recruiters as possible.
