my UK workpermit runs out in November afterwhich i plan to apply for a 6-month extension to my leave to remain (as a Visitor). I am waiting for company transfer papers to come through from the US which will enable me to apply for the L1B visa. My question is: can I apply at the US embassy in the UK, on a UK Visitor's visa.

Government come and go, also superpower come and go. Mesopotamia, Indus, Egypt, Roman, Greece, Umayyad, Persian, Mongol, Turkey Uthmaniah, Briton, France, and now America.

How much longer American will stand? And what is the potential state that can take the responsibility as new superpower?

Im currently doing year 12 at school and im aporled at the english sylabis, they dont teach how to read or wright or even spell anymore, they have staff rooms full of socialogists who dont teach us the things we need for society and to obtain a job, rather they teach us about communist ideas and idealistic ways of society, and i would love to know why we are learning this? This isnt english, fiar enough if people want to learn this than they should have a class for socialolgy, but english should be left for english. and what makes worse is its compulsory, why is this so? i dont need to learn about the chips these people have on their sholders from society.

I'm curious, I hear people on Yahoo Answers complaining all the time about how thier Civil Liberties are being taken away, and the Constitution and Bill of Rights are being scrapped. Someone please explain exactly what freedoms anyone has lost in America. I can still go where I want, when I want, do what I want, say what I want, protest if I want, and carry a gun legally everywhere but in New York (carry concealed permit, and check out N. Y. crime stats) I'm an Independent voter and I'm going crazy trying to figure out what rights anyone has lost! Being a American History major I believe that more people have more civil rights in America than ever before in its history. Where am I wrong?

There is this white girl at work who gets her nails done hella long, has a gold ring on every finger, wears five necklaces one with her name in cursive wears eyeliner out to her ears, hella makeup and speaks spanish with a very bad accent. She is married to a Mexican and has kids with him. I've always ignored her until I heard she said I was trying to be Mexican. I AM half Mexican and I dress and act like white washed. She heard me speking Spanish one day and now she's hating. Why do some stupid people as soon as they marry someone think their race has changed? There is only one way to be a race and that is to be born it. Any one have similar problems with wanna-be Mexican white people hating on REAL Mexicans?

Hello. My friend got a speeding citation and she doesn't want her parents to know that she got a ticket. She thinks that beacuse there are errors on the citation that the officer wrote (her height is off by 8 inches and the model of her car is wrong) that it might be enough grounds for her pleading the case that she wasn't the person who recived the ticket even though her name was on the notice but since the officer made fairly critical errors...it might work. what you think? If not that..could she get a reduction? this is her first ticket ever...so thats why she is freaking out... what u think...

I am shipping off for basic training well oust to be exact.

Hey Everyone.

I am 19 years old, and I recently got a ticket for transporting alcohol (california vehichle code 23224[a]). My friend keith, who is 31 years old, is the one who purchased the alcohol and, right in front of the cops, put it in my trunk. (Looking back, it was pretty stupid of us, but at the time neither of us thought it would be an issue.) The cop immediately came to my window and informed me that because keith was neither my parent nor relative, nor were we on the job, i was not legally allowed to transport his alcohol with him in the car...so I got booked.

Now I have looked up VC23224(a) (http://www.dmv.ca.gov/pubs/vctop/d11/vc2... and I see one loophole that could get me off. It states that transportation is legal with "any other adult designated by the parent, or legal guardian," something the cop did not inform me of at the time. On top of the fact that I am 19 years old and therefore my own legal guardian, my parents are willing to write a letter or even appear in court stating that they 'designated' keith.

So what do you guys think? Do I have anything going here? Also, has anyone here ever been convicted of this violation? What are the consequenses? The code states that anyone convicted is subject to Section 13202.5, which is the suspension of my license. How likely is this to happen? I am trying to figure out if its worth even fighting...

Yesterday, I managed to run out of gas. Walking along the highway to the gas station I found a womans pocket-book (purse) with all her info in it and credit cards, etc... So, I did what any good American would do... I picked it up, nosed through it, and then brought it on home with me and called the police to turn it in. Well well well, did I hear it from neighbors and friends. Telling me I should have left it there and telling me that I shouldn't have got involved. Telling me the state is going to accuse me of stealing it, etc... What do you think? Shouldn't people still try to help each other and do the right thing? I refuse to give up on this world just yet!

i filed both the I-130 and the 824 for my wife/her 20 yr old son single university student wants to study in the USA,I contacted the university for his I-20 and i was told that it would be lot cheaper for him to attend as a immigrant green card status opposed to student visa and since eventually upon graduatting from his present university my wife will have to file for him to immigrate anyway Am i betetr off to include him on the I130 that i filed for my wife or not or am i to late for that/if not late how do i do that?? opinion from consular officer and knowledgeble welcome thanks Semper Fi
