I work Command and Control in the USAF. My previous base was in control of nuclear missiles. I can guarentee you that no one in this world is testing nuclear bombs. Only N Korea. This is why it has drawn the attention from the UN and the rest of the world.

Kim was warned after the first one but he still is showing disregard to the rest of the world. the fact that you are warned by the world and you blow the off shows that you have no care for anything but yourself.

If you look at the history of N.Korea and it's leadership , you find all the reasons you could want , not to trust them with a nuke .
They are, would be conquerers .
60 years ago ,we used 2 bombs to end a war , the world doesn't need someone who would use nukes to start a war .

To better understand your question and provide a justified reasons, lets have a preview of the recent history of North Korea.

Several times from the past, NoKor has continually violated multilateral agreements, wherein they are a signee country. This only indicates how NorKor is unrealiable in terms of their political dealings. Other than that, NorKor continuously threaten neighboring south korea of a possible attack and a forced reunification. The apparent animosity of Nokor to its neighboring countries are clear manifestation that they indeed pose a clear and present danger to the region.

Moreover, Nokor is run by a military junta. They exist under military rules. In other words, they need to fortify their military capabilities in order to protect their power not necessarily the country's soveignty. Consequently, Nokor under the hands of dictator Kim Jong Il is highly volatile. Kim Jong Il in the past has demostrated disregard to the welfare of its citizens for personal gains/motives. The absence of democracy, is also the absence of check and balance. Whatever decision the military junta decides to be the fate of Nokor remains to be unopposed. Now, the validity of whatever decision nokor undertakes in response to global demands will most likely be unrepresentative of the whole of nokor. Worse, its a decision of some psychotic leaders who uses their own people as hostages.

Just like Iran, nokor has unstable political, social and economic standing making it unworthy/unjustified that they have nuclear technology. Think about this, the reason Nokor wants Nuclear armament is either they are threatened, hence they need to make a powerful weapon or they want to heighten military might for purposes of animosity. I'd bet its for the second reason.

Hope to shed some light to your question.

cheers.

There is a saying that one should lead by example. If US really wants a nukes free world it should first get rid of its own stock piles of nukes. US is now building low yield nukes to be used as a tactical weapon and not as a weapon of deterrence. US stands on no moral high ground to stop other countries from developing nuclear technology.

There's more nuclear testing going on around the world by all sorts of countries - as to which ones are doing what it just depends on the publicity generated by the press as to how people feel about it.
