There is this white girl at work who gets her nails done hella long, has a gold ring on every finger, wears five necklaces one with her name in cursive wears eyeliner out to her ears, hella makeup and speaks spanish with a very bad accent. She is married to a Mexican and has kids with him. I've always ignored her until I heard she said I was trying to be Mexican. I AM half Mexican and I dress and act like white washed. She heard me speking Spanish one day and now she's hating. Why do some stupid people as soon as they marry someone think their race has changed? There is only one way to be a race and that is to be born it. Any one have similar problems with wanna-be Mexican white people hating on REAL Mexicans?

What's dumb is someone trying to be something they're not by perpetuating all the stereotypes.
That doesn't change who someone is, it just proves that they're a moron. If anything, she's really putting down an entire race by acting that way. It would be like someone going all Mafia, because they wanted to be Italian.
And yes, I have seen it. But usually with white kids trying to act like and talk like they're another race, yet making fun of that race all along.

Yes it's dumb, and that girl you're talking about is a race traitor. And yes, I know someone like that - my sister, but she doesn't necessarily "hate" on anyone....she just thinks she's a Mexican, and doesn't associate with white people other than me and my mom. Even though she's my sister, it's still dumb, and she's still a race traitor.

I have no idea and it's kinda pathetic. Especially since most Mexican girls I know don't dress or act like that and she's really insulting them by doing it. She should realize that who she is is really unique and special, and that her husband probably loves her for who she is, not for what she tries to be.

Yes it is dumb, and to hate on you is uncalled for.
Don't give her a second thought she is just jealous that you are something(half Mexican) that she will Never be, that she for some reason is not happy being a white woman is her own problem.
She's a fake, but you see it all the time....sometimes even on here. For some reason these women try to become the race of their husband, I don't get it, maybe they are just insecure to begin with, who knows. My advice to you is to ignore her, and if she keeps it going and it becomes uncomfortable for you then tell her to bag the bad Spanish and not to take her insecurities out on you. Where I'm from we have a special name for her and her kind......it's called a "wannabe".

I have problems with wanna-be American Mexicans who come into my country illegally, steal money from my people, bring and sell drugs to my children, form gangs, shoot innocent Americans, wave the Mexican flag in my country and demand that I put their wants and needs before American born citizens. Other than that, It's a free country for anyone to act like any race they choose to. Me, I like to act like who I am. An American born citizen who stands up for "my country and my fellow Americans".
