Can anyone explain the middle east problems in simple terms?

I really dont understand whats going on with Israel etc, can anyone explain in simple terms?? Thanks

Yes. Arabs hate Jews and consider them interlopers into the region. Jews don't much care for Arabs, but a lot of Arabs have a quasi-Israeli citizenship and some serve in the Israeli Parliament. Jews have been in the region since 1500BC, on and off. Islam got started around 600AD, some 2,000 years later. Before Islam there was not much friction between Arabs and Jews. Some, but not crazy like it is now. Most of the world hates Jews. Most of the world like Arabs. Some Arab countries have lots of oil whiuch makes people love 'em even more. The Jews have no oil. Jews have been kicked around all over the globe until they finally got back to Israel in 1948. Most , but not all, Arab governments want to eradicate Jews from the face of the Earth. The Palestinians want the whole land, not just the part Israel is willing to share with them. The only consistent friend that Israel has had is the US. Without the US, Israel would have been wiped out long ago. The only real true constintuency in the US that is on the side of Israel is the Christian Right. So you might safely say it is the American Christian Right and Israel versus the rest of the world. At the beginning of his administration George W Bush kind of ignored Israel, that is until he received a few visits from Evangelical Christians. That concentrated his attention, especially since he's an Evangelical himself. You'll hear the word "Zionism". A Zionist is a person who believes that Jews have a right to return to the place of their ancestors, Israel. It is their land from which they had been expelled. Called the "Right of Return". Not all Jews are Zionists. In fact, you'd be surprised how few are. The idea is considered old-fashioned and obselete. Especially among so-called "self-hating" Jews. Mostly Marxists and Socialists. They Anglicize their names and pretend to be something else. Most, if not all Evangelical Christians are Zionists. I won't go into the theological reasoning for that, but it boils down to the fact that we're commanded by God to help the Jews and Israel. Some accuse us of helping Israel because we want to hasten the day Christ returns to Earth, but that completely misses the point. Jesus will return at the appointed time, no sooner and no later. No, it's just that Judaism is the foundation of our Faith, the core of our belief. And Jews are Keepers of the Law. They have preserved the Law and passed it down to us. Our Law. The Law for Christians as well. That is the main reason.

i'll try and make this simple. under the ottoman empire, before world war one, the land of palestine had muslims, christians and jews,all arabs, living together with roghly equal rights. the muslims where the vast majority, the jews where arabs and where a minority.
then after ww2 western colonization of the middle east lead by the english empire changed things. they took the land by force and the middle easts battle for freedom began. the end result of the colonization where the division of the region to multiple small countries. the land of palestine was decided to become israel by the british and the americans. then the occupation began where the non jewish arabs where kicked out from there land and a lot of the slaghtered in the process. while the non jewish arabs where kicked out, mass migration of jews into israel from all over the world began. great facilitations where provided by the west to accomodate this mass migration of non arab jews. now the majority of the population is jewish.
the arabs can not and will not forget this. there people got slaughtered and kicked out of there land. that is where the hate comes from. the wests, especially the us bias and blind suppory for israel creates more hate and gives an excuse for terrorist attacks like what happened in 911.
the root cause of the problem of muslims is not religion, it is the aggression by the zionists and the wests support for this aggression. on the other side, the root of the jews and the right wing christians for this aggression is religion. jews believe its there holy right to return to the promised land by any means necessary and conservative christians believe its there religious duty to support there return. so please tell me, who is truly the religious extremist?

Of the Muslim population in the world, 15-25% are of this radical element. That's pretty close to the population of the entire U.S. One of the beliefs they hold is that it is a terrible sin to allow Muslim land to be taken by the infidel, that's you, me. the Jews, and anyone else who does not believe in Islam. So, since Israel was once a land ruled by Islam, they see it as a terrible sin to allow Israel to exist. They speak of Spain the same way, but Israel is surrounded by Islamic states, so it is a greater blight on their faith and therefore a greater target for their aggression.

muslims and jews dislike each other but they dont kill each other.when the bloody-English troops put their noses into that holly place the war began.If English didnt conquered middle-east etc for money and slavery,there would be no war on middle-east.Bloody English...
