They are so ashamed that they hope either no one will believe what they are seeing or that no one will know what they can do about it. They are hoping that the common man will go on with their lives and ignore the catastrophe in the highest office of this land.
Like little Repubbie children, they will believe the abusive Bush father that slaps them around every single day and tells them what to think. It is because they believed the lies from Bush Daddy and want to stay loyal no matter what. Basically, they've never grown up.
