...or do you just claim to be one so people won't shut you down when you rip on one party or the other? I'm Indy all the way.

Dear Mark D, Yes, it is the third largest party in the United states. (competing with the greens for the spot). And it is a proper noun. The party platform has more to do with the notion of Independence as a nation and not as an individual.

I like the way that you think though- striaght to the point, not considering all of the aspects of the english language, nor having the slightest idea of what you are talking about. Sounds much like one of these liberals that call themselves conservatives in the blogs. Thanks for participating.

I'm apolitical. What's the point? The Democrats and Republicans screw everything up trying to screw each other and Independents will never EVER get elected. They don't have the funds to finance a flashy campaign, and they don't have the pull either way. Most republicans will always vote republican, most democrats will always vote democrat, and an overwhelming majority of people belong to one of those parties. It would be nice if we had followed through with the original idea that all elected officials should be geniuses in their field and politicians hadn't folded to the will of lobbyists.

I am

I belong to the Constitution Party. I allow myself to vote Republican in local elections if they appear to be close.

This doesnt mean that I agree with all of the platform though. But I am a true conservative and I couldnt care less if any liberal "rips on me". They are free to say what they think, no matter how stupid it may be.

what is the independant party? You mean Ross Perot and the like? Who else is a member? I try to classify myself as non-partisan but I will register with a party in my state just to vote in that party's primary.

"Independent Party" ...............?!?!

Ha-haha-haha-haha!!!!

Independent Party! Heeheehee!!

One of the classic examples of an oxymoron!

It's exactly like saying "The Non-Conformist Club" ....! A group of people who are united by the fact that they have NOTHING in common with one another!

Is there really such a thing as an "Independent Party," or are you merely an independent?

I am neither right or left. I vote for the person who I think is most sane and capable of handling the job.
