Why do some liberals and some conservatives on this board ask stupid insulting questions or answer questions by simply insulting the other side? If your position is so correct why can't we just discuss it using facts, citing sources, and treating each other with respect?

Really, I'd like to know what calling each other names accomplishes or what you think it accomplishes? Do you think that you are going to win people over to your side?

This is a serious question.

The poor and democrats should support and buy more Citgo gas. Chavez cares much more about the poor of this country and his own company than Bush ever did. Do you agree with any of the following reasons?

A large part of the profits from Citgo gas (owed by Venezuela) goes to help the poor.

Chazev has used oil and gas profits to give free health care, food, housing, to help the many poor of his country. He has funded literacy programs to boost the literacy rates to nearly 100%.

As you pump your gas, consider would you rather your money actually go to help poor and starving people or to the Saudi who behead their citizens and use oil profits to enhance the decadence of their palaces.

The Bush administration just cut 50 Billion dollars to all kinds of social programs in December in the "Reverse Robin Hood" bill. This included programs for housing, food, vets, education, child support enforcement, health care and many other things.

I am starting a non-profit organisation and I would like to call it a 'guild', but I don't know if this word has legal implications like the way the words 'limited company' do. I think that guilds had to have royal charters in the middle ages. Are there any laws still on the books about guilds? Can anybody use this word to describe their organisation?

Let's face it, globalization is here to stay and as a result, more and more jobs are being sent overseas. You cannot legally force a company to stop shipping the jobs overseas. Knowing that companies will always look for the cheapest suppliers and labor costs are higher here in the U.S. than in many other countries, how would you encourage a company to choose suppliers that produce products made within the boundaries of the U.S.?

It seems to me that if a person wants to see the "terrorists" destroyed....that they'd be in Iraq actually fighting. Practing what they preach!

I guess it's easier to fight the terrorist from your home computer, hehehehehehehe.

Jimmy Carter in the spring of 1979 publicly warned the Shah of Iran not to stop Ayatollah Khomeni from returning to Teheran from Paris even when he was making statements that America and the West would pay dearly.

Jimmy Carter helped to jumpstart islamo-fascism's war on the west. Way to go Peanut brain!

The USA has a 315 billion dollar deficit, and a 8 trillion dollar debt! THE ENTIRE IRAQ WAR IS PAID FOR BY BORROWING MONEY. And the debt is left to another generation to pay for it!

What if the Republicans raised taxes to pay for the Iraq campaign? How fast would the war end? A week, 2 weeks?

Because Republicans love the war.....but they don't want to pay for it!

PS-During the Vietnam conflict, a 10% federal tax was placed on property taxes to pay for the war, so the nation wouldn't go into debt to pay for it. IT WAS SOUND FISCAL MANAGMENT.

After.....
1979- our embassy in Iran attacked.
1980 - Americans killed trying to save hostages.
1982 - US Embassy in Lebanon bombed.
1983 - 256 Marines killed by Hezbollah
1985 - US Sailor murdered in hyjacking
1986 - Pan Am 103
1993 - First WTC
1993 - Somalia 154 Americans killed
1995 - Khobar Towers bombed
1998 - American embassies bombed
2000 - USS Cole bombed
2001 - 9/11

Isn't it enough? Should any more Americans die being bombed at work, in their beds, on their ships? How about all the people around the world who have been murdered by islamo-jihadi monkey fascism?

Enough Americans have died for freaks wanting to see Allah. Isn't it time to visit Hiroshima on all these Jihadi, monkey banging, camel raping, dirty night sheet wearing, allah humping freaks?

Yes it is true that a large # of Mexicans have crossed into this country, but thier is also a large number of Euros, South Americans, Asians, and Africans in this country. it seems unfair that people are perfectly fine to go down to the "little italy" portion of town where everyone their is staying or working on an expired visa, but want to deport the people who cut thier grass....come on America, wake up and stop being such two faced citizens.
