Yes it is true that a large # of Mexicans have crossed into this country, but thier is also a large number of Euros, South Americans, Asians, and Africans in this country. it seems unfair that people are perfectly fine to go down to the "little italy" portion of town where everyone their is staying or working on an expired visa, but want to deport the people who cut thier grass....come on America, wake up and stop being such two faced citizens.

I love peoples answers...they are so angry about the fact that Mexicans are in this country and are ready to put every person of spanish decent in an internment camp...how sad!!

I hope and pray this gets resolved quickly. I do believe in protecting our borders. I do want to stop illegal immigration and put very strict harsh fines on mexico and any other country in which we ifnd a immigrant illegally. we provide so much to Mexico, I bet they would put their own guards up if we fined their government 100k for every individual we found.

because there are more illegal mexicans than there are from other countries, therefor, mexicans are a bigger problem.

"Euros, South Americans, Asians, and Africans "...how many of those countries in the areas u noted have running borders w/ the US that people can literally walk across undocumented?? NONE OF THEM...if there are illegals from Asia or Africa or Europe or So. America, they are here illegally because of expired visas or something but they at least at some point had some kind of identification--mexicans LITERALLY can jump across the border, one minute in mexico, the next in America, w/ NO documentation at all. You can easily find out who is on a plane or a boat en route to America, not so easy when people are running across the border on foot, literally!

I think right now, it's easier to point at those who came from Mexico..
Part of it may be due to:
Please, press one if you wish this to be in English. Please, press two if you wish this in Spanish..
Reading labels - take your pick English or Spanish..
Give me a break! Learn our language!

I read some of the immigration laws the other night, and one of them (#5) stated that speaking english, reading english, and writing it.. was of utmost importance, and..required! True, this may have been more for those wishing to become US Citizens, and planned on staying here..
Etc etc etc..

Illegal is illegal. Sorry...

I heard today, that another group of people actually fly over America, and give birth.. so their children will become Americans. The baby is given a social security number, etc.. then they fly back to their country with all the necessary papers that their child is an American. Why.. it was said that they do not want their children in their countries military.
Excuse me????!!!!!

Two-faced. True..some are. But I highly doubt those are the ones wanting to deport anyone. Here, where I live.. we do our own work. That is what our ancestors taught us. Take pride in who we are, what we have.. a little sweat hurt no one. Etc..

Tegeras - why is it Mexican - American.. why isn't it plain and simply "AMERICAN!!!!"
I am so sick of all this 'I'm a whatever whatever American' . When my grandparents came here, they dropped the whatever whatever.. and were so proud to be called "AMERICANS!!!" Give me a break..

Let's see -

90 percent of the illegals crossing into MY country are hispanics, hondurans, mexicans. The other 10 percent is spread out between the rest of the few who come to this country.

Mexicans are the majority of the problem because they are connected to the USA - They have no problem what-so-ever when they cross the border, whereas people from other countries have to fly a plane, and do all this other transportation.

I don't consider myself a two-faced citizen. I know what's right for this country - and having millions of illegal aliens come to my country each year trying to take what's mine - - is NOT good.

And don't say it's about racism. "Europeans" speak English - - - So how you could you say it's RACIST for profiling these people? America is based on the ENGLISH language. YOU IMBECILES!

Well, actually, we don't - at least, no one I know does that. Most of us who are concerned about illegal immigration are concerned at least in part about the ease with which terrorists could make it into the country. Last time I checked, there weren't a lot of Mexican terrorists.

However, in the overall scheme of the issue, Mexican immigrants do make up the greater part of the illegals in the country. Mexican citizens, both those still in Mexico and the legal and illegal residents of the United States, are by far and away the most vocal of the immigrant communities on the subject. As far as I know, the Mexican government has been the loudest of all foreign governments in its criticism of our current policy. All of this does tend to attract a certain amount of attention.

It really makes no difference what nation illegal immigrants come from; however, the Illegal Immigration of Mexican Nationals represents a better illustration of the criminal aspect of the immigration problem facing the United States of America.

I'd like it if all the Thugs would leave........Thank you!

It's not so much that Mexicans make up the majority, it's those that cannot tell the difference from a Legal Immigrant, an Illegal Immigrant and a Mexican - American. As soon as they see the word Mexico they go off on their "build the fence", "They don't belong here" and "they are all illiterate" rants with no thought. Do you honestly think that does not bother Americans with Mexican ancestry?

Case in point, Janet W. Nice little rant and thank you for generalizing.

I don't see a problem with the race, I think that anyone that is in our country illegally should not be given special treatment. Unfortunately, the majority of illegals are from Mexico.

Because politicians wouldn't be afraid to attack illegals from say Germany or Italy or Bulgaria or Russia, but when it comes to hispanics, politicians get very PC because they're afraid of losing votes. The hispanic illegal gets the most news coverage AND they are the most outspoken.
Why don't you ask the news people why they concentrate on the hispanics?

It is much more difficult to enter the US from any other country than it is from Mexico. The vast majority of illegal immigrants are from Mexico, but others from central and south America also enter from our southern border.
