So many times, I hear Bush defenders say,"He is a good Christian man." May I ask you why you believe that?

Since I doubt any of you know him in person, it would have to be from what he says right? I've been a christian all my life. I know what you are talking about. He does talk like a christian.

BUT, I ask you... what if you knew that he was hired by his father in 1988 to research the evangelical vote in order to understand our christian terminology in order to win our vote? What if you knew that he went back and stated a person could win the presidency if they knew how to 'talk' to those voters? What if I told you he stated in 1999 that he was going to use that and win governor of Texas?

Would you call him a good christian man then? I wouldn't.

If you don't believe me, go see for yourself: http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/pages/frontline/..

It was merely a verbal warning, I did not receive a ticket or record of it whatsoever. However, the officer did run my name/DL number through the system. Of course, I have never had anything on my record so it came back clear. He continued asking me all manner of unrelated questions which I answered truthfully. I am just wondering if it will ever show up on my record that they ran my information? He said that it was a "Class E Misdemeanor," will this show up on my record at all?

We have heard endless stories about unethical corporate practices taking place throughout the world. Do you think this form of modern-day capitalism is actually contradictory of a democratic life? What do you think we can do to reverse his contradiction and make corporations behave as democratic institutions in a democratic society?

Really there is no difference. They both alter jugment. Personally, I wish that they could both be legal. The ideal situation would be if there was a huge extra peanalty for crime committed while under the influence. I don't partake of either, but I hate it when liberty is restricted. Alas! If it weren't for human nature it might be possible.

So legalizing drugs would be too desasterous, and the prohibition of alcohol would be too hard.
The right thing is rearely easy.

America is the only superpower remaining on the globe. However, China is about to experience an immense economic boom that will put America's 1950s boom to shame. Immense population + immense amounts of money + large resource reserve. You do the math. Do you think America will remain the most powerful force on the globe much longer?

If a muslim british citizen has a caution for possession of an offensive weapon in a public place and one speeding conviction, how easy will it be for that person to visit the USA for holiday.

This person got the conviction because he grabbed a baseball bat to chase away a gang of lads who had commenced a racially motivated attack on on one of his neighbours. He basically was trying to save someone's life in response to cry for help from the mother of a boy who was being beaten up by youths. But by the time he got to the scene the bad lads had escaped and the police caught him at the scene with a bat -hence the caution.

He is otherwise a law abiding citizen who loves enjoys the Great Outdoors and wants to visit USA for leisure.

But I hear the Americans have recently become DRACONIAN about allowing anyone to enter the States with any kind of tarnish against their name.
