who is profitting from this Iraq war?

Between WWI and WWII, highly decorated, Marine Major General Smedley Butler wrote a short dissertation called War is a Racket.

In it he said "War is a racket. It always has been. It is possibly the oldest, easily the most profitable, surely the most vicious. It is the only one international in scope. It is the only one in which the profits are reckoned in dollars and the losses in lives. "

While Gen Smedley Butler is correct in many ways,in my opinion the real reasons for these wars since the 18oos is to advance the New World Order agenda which is run by the international bankers mainly based in London,England.
Anyone can Google up General Smedley Butler and make your own assessment

Look at who got awarded the multi-billion no-bid contract to rebuild Iraq and you will have your answer.

And to the dolt who asked who Smedley Butler was I would suggest some serious history lessons.

No, most defense contractors (even notorious ones like Halliburton) are publicly traded companies. That means that even people who don't know they own equities may be profiting from their IRAs/mutual fund"s investment in defense contractors. So the usual fat-cat suspects are profiting from the Iraq war, but so is Joe-six pack. I guess ethical investment funds are the way to go for folks who want to avoid war profiteering.

Just like in everything else it is possible to make a huge fortune by: "Finding a need and filling it."

Just think of all of the fortunes that have been made in peacetime vs. the very few fortunes made in wartime.
