Take everything you know and forget it. Those boys are bad ***. You need to already be in good shape because they will break you in a minute. Good luck but the only advise you need is remember that training only lasts for a little while and pain is just weakness leaving the body. They will break you down and mold you to be the best. Like I said just remember don't think about the pain. God Bless for serving your country

I hope that you are one tough SOB most don't make but those that do are the most hardcore, driven, passionated people I have ever met they make Devil Dogs look like Devil Pups. Remember what doesn't kill you only makes you stronger that aside remember that you are not a SEAL until you are made one so don't go to A school and get a Trident tattoo like some guy did while I was in Pensacola. He was sent to the fleet undesignated. Well good luck and God speed

I'm assuming that you are already in the Navy, because you cannot apply for SEAL training, unless you are already in the Navy, and at the top of your field both physically, mentally and with the scores to back them up.
As for getting ready...if your already at the points I just described then that is about as much prep as you can do. I wish you luck.

I watched this thing on Discovery channel and they had to sit in reaAAALLY cold water for thirty minutes and they had to run 4 miles every day and it was pretty harsh. I would rather be in the air force but if everybody was like me we would be totally losing the war in iraq so do what you want because you want it and try hard because if they ever put you on TV and you act like a baby you'll be a total loser so DON'T SLACK OFF SOLDIER!!!

You must be in top physical condition, willing to take orders, think on your feet, and be in for a bunch of tough training in many situations, air, land, and sea. The main thing is to always remember the trainers are there to distinguish the best of the best, and they expect you to live up to the best effort you can give

It is usually a good idea to enlist in the Navy first. Then get selected to attend BUD.
