I wanted to attend this wedding only because my daughters were so excited to be flower girls!! I am not on speaking terms with my ex-husband or his family, however, I felt I needed to be present for my children. After all, this was a big day for them, too. My plans were to sit quietly in the back of the church and leave as soon as it was over. I had no intention of "causing a scene". I am a professional lady and am always quiet and reserved. When I arrived, a family member and church member met me in the parking lot and told me I had to leave or they would call the police. Does anyone know the legality of the situation? The wedding announcement in the local newspaper said---friends and family invited. As you can tell this family has NO class and certainly no manners to speak of. Please let me have some imput....it will all be appreciated even if you express opposing views.

Hi all

I'm looking at possibly immigrating to Canada in the future, I'm currently an Australian citizen, I previously immigrated from South Africa (with my parents). What are my options? if I have no skills (will be studying there, at university), I could go to do only that, but I want to become a citizen. I understand that immigration to Canada is somewhat easier than to the U.S. could anyone point me in the right direction?

Thanks!

Think in terms of how well communism could work out if it was set up properly, without greed or power struggle. As far as I can see the only reason communism wont ever work is that people don’t really like to think of the greater good, we are all too selfish.
Also I’m talking a model where the whole society is based on communist like values and where it wont be challenged by a capitalist neighbor it cant compete with.
So what are your thoughts, are we too selfish to live in a utopia of equality?? I think we are

If somebody treats openly gay people with the equal dignity and respect as they do straight people, then why do people still call them homophobic if, when asked, they state that they believe homosexuality to wrong because of their religious beliefs?

My older brother is into government theories and he has showed me plenty of videos stating that the war is fake and all of that stuff. Now im really confused on whether or not I really want to join. Can someone in the marines help me out here? I just want to see whats really going on in Iraq. Thanks!

Is it a conbination of different systems of governance or is there new type of system? What alternatives do we have? Does every continent have to have it`s own unique system or is there a universal type of system?

How can people who devote their lives to animal rights sleep at night when millions of children are dying of AIDS, hunger, disease and extreme poverty each. Maybe its better than seeking purely their own interests but doesn't it seem like they have some seriously irrational priorities? Do they like animals more than people?

"BHUBANESWAR, India (Reuters) - India on Sunday test-fired its longest-range nuclear-capable ballistic missile, the Agni III, which can hit targets deep within China, a senior defence ministry official said."

This thing currently has a range of 3000 km - any other country that flirts with Nuclear capability or the mechanisms necessary to deliver them are stamped on pretty quickly by the west - Why not India?

Remember - India already has the warheads.

The UN/Nato, whoever should reign them in pdq, or leave other aspirant nuclear nations to get on with it, then we can all have a whale of a party in hell on earth - heaven can wait.

Why doesn't the United Nations in New York city make some real genuine policy changes? Ones that will actually do this world some true good? Such as to establish international laws making it a international criminal offence to invade, commit acts of violence and aggression and occupy another nation? To set up these laws, international courts and police/ military to enforce these laws? Why doesn't the U.N. make international laws against any nation on the whole earth aquiring and maintaining nuclear weapons? Weapons of the earths destruction? Why doesn't the United Nations fullfil its mandate to protect the world from wars and aggressions one nation against another like it is supposed to?
