I don't know about the laws in Michigan, but my boyfriend has been a cop in PA and MD now, and usually, you need a solid piece of evidence that there is drug trading going on. Cops usually don't do drug raids, the Drug Task Force of that city should do it. They are the people who dress in plain clothes, do the deal and then the cops come in to bust the people, because that is the evidence.
