World War Three?

"BHUBANESWAR, India (Reuters) - India on Sunday test-fired its longest-range nuclear-capable ballistic missile, the Agni III, which can hit targets deep within China, a senior defence ministry official said."

This thing currently has a range of 3000 km - any other country that flirts with Nuclear capability or the mechanisms necessary to deliver them are stamped on pretty quickly by the west - Why not India?

Remember - India already has the warheads.

The UN/Nato, whoever should reign them in pdq, or leave other aspirant nuclear nations to get on with it, then we can all have a whale of a party in hell on earth - heaven can wait.

If a nuclear I.C.B.M ever hit the middle of India it would cause billions of pounds worth of improvements.

Most of the current nuclear-capable powers can be trusted to act more or less responsibly with them. The US, Russia, the UK, France, China, Pakistan and India pretty much all have nuclear weapons as a deterrent to others, and would be loathe to use them in an actual conflict (China worries some people because they have a history of caring almost nothing about world opinion or their own people, and Pakistan and India are both a little touchy when faced with each other, but mutually assured distruction is an unfortunate if effective deterrent).

As for the other two, Israel is suspected of having nukes but won't likely use them unless somebody is stupid enough to attack them, but North Korea's leader has shown himself to be capable of any atrocity and should be reined in as a precaution. Iran doesn't yet have such weapons, and the rest of the world probably wouldn't be as worried about them except that Iran's leader is likely just as bad as North Korea's (if not worse), necessitating sanctions.

As for India developing longer-range missles, it doesn't really change much on the strategic map. They were already capable of hitting any place in Pakistan with existing missles, and most of the rest of the world might smile to see China have to reevaluate their southern neighbors...I know I would/do.

India has never been an nuclear proliferating nation,it has its own indigenous technology and is a responsible nation and to tell u the truth America or any other country and UN can not afford to loose the stabilizing and neutral ally like India in south and south east Asia.

Because India is the one nation that has solid proof that its development is for defense and that it will never start an attack.. India has NEVER attacked.... we made the British go back through non-violence , we always defended Pakistan's attack for Pakistan and defended well. we helped Bangladesh get freedom and so on... Also, developments in the field of nuclear energy and astronomy owe a lot to India..many Indian scientist have contributed a lot to both fields...heck 36% of NASA employees are Indians!...
