members of my family have vsited washington quite a few times. My dad had a large part in a law meant to protect children from sexual preditirs (the law was named after the girl but for the life of me I can't remember). My point is, that after speaking to government officials repeatedly, they only seem to care about votes and making money. What exactly happened to the great Presidents/elected officials of old?

What are your opinions on her book Godless; I haven't read it myself. The title is a turn off; calling all liberals godless is like calling all conservatives prejudiced, its crazy.

It is an education to read the comments on this website. The answers from right-wing Americans are usually really vicious and nasty and abusive, and the hatred they feel for people who do not share the same point of view - especially liberals - is extremely strong. Why is this? And why are they always so keen to bomb other people? It's a bit over the top.

for every person who think that israelies r nic ppl,what u think about what they r doing in Gaza right now?
the zionists comitted a new massacres against the palestinians,they killed +45 person including KIDS & CIV ,and destroyed a whole city puting +1.5 milion civ in danger of deseases, all that using the excuse of saving !1! kidnaped soldier.
the UN and the europian union called for israel to stop its agression but israelies didnt respect them as usual.
they r using tanks & fighterplanes to fight against ppl armed with small guns & knives!!!

According to world factbook there are 4.18 children born per woman in Iraq and 6.69 in Afghanistan. Why are they having all these children when about 64% of the population is illiterate. I think it is somwhat child abuse. Why doesn't the government limit them to one child per couple like communist China.

Hi, I have got an offer to go to US on business visa to attend an event of some company. The person here says, the visa validity is 6months, so after going there first 1week I need to attand the event and then he will provide an NOC to work there and also to convert it into Workpermit visa. I heard that to keep the green card valid you must not leave the US for more than one year, is it true?
Also any information about how to apply for citizenship but live in another country for a while? Cause I work already in another country and I'm having a good salary that I'm afraid to lose if I left and started to search again in US yet I need to have the passport cause most of my family have it already and I want to later work in US as a citizen. Any accurate info please?
Someone told me that I can apply for the passport and will get it in 3 years if I didn't leave US for more than 6 months, is it true?
