Not sure about Scozbo & Dennis J.

We Aussies like to enjoy life.

My wife had to go back to the USA recently for her grandfathers funeral. She told me that everytime she turned on the TV there were screaming headline panic-inducing news reports about WW3 with N Korea, or Killer Bees (again) or West Nile disease, Bird Flu etc etc. Anyone who saw Michael Moore's film knows what I mean.

In Australia we don't like to be scared. If the media tried to do with us what they do to the USA people would just switch off, but you guys somehow seem addicted to horror news. We don'y buy into that stuff. The weather's nice, the people are fairly chilled, the standard of living is good, we eat well, the beaches are great, the countryside is beautiful...

Sydney, Melbourne & Toronto recently tied in first place as the best places in the world to live.

It ain't perfect - where is? But we don't get bad news rammed down our throats. Life is for living, no worries, mate!

We're not hiding...we are just far far away from all that nonsense, and we wouldn't have it any other way.

* Most Australians despise George W Bush
* We don't want to be in Iraq
* We have sent peacekeepers over to east timor and they are getting paid base rate....because Mr. Howard says they aren't in danger

Since the Aussies are just America's lapdog and always do what the U.S. wants of them, they are safely ignored. That's why.
