P.S. this a question for people that are saying how Cuba provides free medical aide and a great education. Well the only thing cuba(and I say cuba meaning not the country but the jack *** and his little confused sister/ brother) provides to their people is Bull$hit and lies, come on, look up that blog, and see how Fidel castro has destroyed Cuba, and why U.S.A allowed Cubans to migrate, but only when touching american soil, So in this case dont blame the cuban people for wanting freedom of speach.

another thing , you guys question your government too much, first of all if cuba pose a major threat to the US, would you think President Bush would of gotten involve, Guantanamo Bay is there, come on you guys, Castro is in his last days, once he dies, the Us government will go in and finish what there were going to start, and convert that into a 2nd puerto rico,, so for you Pepe Lepue, and others, USA has some thing planned for Cuba, so we republicans are not worried about Castro.

I have no problem with the 'wet foot dry foot' policy. I was just saying I hadn't examined whether the reasons still existed, so I couldn't defend it. I live in California and it is just part of the overall geopolitical picture to me, not like it is for people who live in the Southeast.

Asylum is different from normal immigration. The idea is that these people NEED refuge.

Cuba would be a terrible place to live.

So would Afghanistan.

The liberal and conservative ideologues in this country would have us all believe that if "the other side" takes power a rightist or leftist extremist nation would replace the America that we love and know.

Come on, people: knock off the partisan rhetoric and be honest. We will never live under a socialist dictatorship, just like we will never live under a Christian theocracy.

It is only the fear that these notions facilitate that keep us "un-united" and partisan.
