American Democracy will not last.
The world is not a static environment and the continual evolution of society and its values will continue to be a given. Change is coming.

It terms of America's new Global Imperialism, the greed and lust for power of the American government will be its downfall. Continual military build up that surpasses any other nation has resulted in America's dominant position, since the end of world war 2 when America first came to be a global super power the imperial grand strategy has been aimed at maintaining this power and illiminating any competition.

America's grip on the worlds economy however has already slipped and will continue to slip. Where once America controlled 50% of the worlds economy the development of Asia and redevelopment of Europe should see a three way split.

Americas military strategy will be to use its uncontested military force to maintain its economic lead. The threat of anihilation will keep countries in check, there can be no build up of standard military in any country that could potentially threaten America's global sovereignty.

We are already seeing the alternative to a standard military build up, and it is the only way of threatening americas power. They are of course weopons of mass destruction.

So as we look forward, and as developing countries want there fair share America will see more and more countries opposing them and unless Americans wake up and realise the dangers of there current policies, terrorism and the development of weopons of mass destruction will continue.

Something will give.

I am not anti American. American policies however are currently the greatest threat to peace on our planet today.

It is very likely that we will not last at our current level just like all countries in the past. However, just like England, France, Russia, Germany, Italy, Spain, Egypt, Etc. the government or empire collapsed but all these countries didn't cease to exist. They all still remain hundreds of years later just in a less dominant form.

i do the u.s. will fall like all others and i blame it on the demo and rep for splitting our nation, state, cities and home, with sensitive issues like abortion, same sex marriages, all this is not a problem for the government to handle, it a moral and don't mean society i mean each person has their choice and bush cant say no just cause is his believe of his religion, the state and religion are separate according to the constitution but that's all bullshit, that y will fall.its not okay for abortion or same sex marriages but it is to send 18 year old kids to Iraq to die, we lose friends, brother, sister, mothers, fathers, neighbors, all in all love ones for a war that had no funds, we should have impeach him for being so stupid, and Wat ever happen to bin laden, bush and him made money together and both have become wealthy with this war since they own stock in the companies that are making all the guns tanks and artillery the u.s is using in war times, i say **** bush he is by far the worst pres indent i have seen in office or read about in the history of the u.s.

No empire, no country lasts forever. Egypt lasted 2500 years, Rome lasted over 1000 years, America has gone 231. Eventually, something will replace America (hopefully something better).

According to myself, and a few of my co-workers who hold political debate day in and day out, the United States will hold strong for about another 50 years before falling to China. If we continue to send all of our factories, and jobs to china, our economy at home will begin to suffer, such as now, and the military might of china will eventually lead to our downfall.

as long as there is greed, governemts will eventually fall. the bigger the government the faster it will happen... we have a pretty big government right now.. it's only a matter of time... watch the news.... in 100 years we won't even recognize it. congress thinks we are invulnerable so they do nothing to truely fix the problems....

I don't think we'll break up but who knows. We've been in worse situations than we are in now (uh.. Civil War) so I think we're pretty strong.

Last ?
Do you fear your government?

A subtle shift into Orwell’s nightmare may be happening now.
