So many times, I hear Bush defenders say,"He is a good Christian man." May I ask you why you believe that?
Since I doubt any of you know him in person, it would have to be from what he says right? I've been a christian all my life. I know what you are talking about. He does talk like a christian.
BUT, I ask you... what if you knew that he was hired by his father in 1988 to research the evangelical vote in order to understand our christian terminology in order to win our vote? What if you knew that he went back and stated a person could win the presidency if they knew how to 'talk' to those voters? What if I told you he stated in 1999 that he was going to use that and win governor of Texas?
Would you call him a good christian man then? I wouldn't.
If you don't believe me, go see for yourself: http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/pages/frontline/..

Just another way of George Bush pulling the wool over the eyes of Americans that are to lazy to research our president like you did. Would congress have let him go to war if they knew he was going to kill in excess of 2500 young men and women. Of course every republican would. It was proven and it has been proven time and time again there are no wepons of mass destruction in Iraq. Did George Bush research that. No he did not. He forgot about Osma and went after Sadaam. Believe it or not Sadamm could bring peace in Iraq within 30 days and with alot less blood shed than road side suiside bombs set by martyrs. Bush has been a liar and a cheat his entire adult life. Give me a politician that likes blows jobs in office anyday.

Have you noticed that you can tell if a person is Conservative or Liberal by the first three or four words in their answer to a question . No matter the question , if it has the word Bush in it , there 's an argument to be made . It's like a fever starts in the brain and runs down their arm to the keyboard and the hate or love spews out . How one man , can cause that much controversy between Americans , is beyond my comprehension . The sad fact is , I think he knows exactly , what he is doing to this country . If you agree or not it doesn't matter . It's all about the fight between the right and left , not Christians . Nobody should have to prove to anyone , if you are or not a Christen . That is between you and your God and only you will answer in the end . We can't say that Bush is or is not a Christen , only he knows the truth and if there are crimes that he's committed , he will pay , one way or another .
Some times it's good to have an open mind and look at both sides of an issue before coming down on one side or the other .

first of all, i am not an atheist, but i refuse to confine myself to any specific religious sect. i've heard that the president is catholic. i do not know how true this is but i can tell one thing for sure, when he donates money to developing countries, he dictates what to do with it, and if it isnt catholic or christian, the money cannot be used. typica example: in many developing countries the HIV/AIDS epidemic is very rampant so help is sought from the developed world to help combat this. now the usa donated a sum of money to one country to start a campaign to prevent or reduce the spread of HIV/AIDS. the original campaign was "BE WISE, CONDOMISE" meaning, use a condom everytime u have sex, since its the only way to have sex and not get HIV. however, this was deemed to be "uncatholic" and the campaign was changed to "ABC: Abstain, Be careful" which is thought to be more orthodox. the bare truth is that the second campaign was much less effective than the original campaign but the country could not say anything, otherwise they would risk the donation being withdrawn. so i ask u, is he christian, is he christian for the right reasons?

It's marketing.
I was amazed that Bush won in 2006, What a great marketing campaign. He had Hispanics with Viva Bush bumper stickers on their cars. That was a really "go figure" thing for me. I certainly hope the Democrats pay a little more attention to marketing in 2008.

if you are a "Christian" then why are you are so bitter about Bush? if you were a Christian, then you would know that God has placed this government here by His will. So what if Bush is smart enough to figure out the Christian vote, and that by winning Christians he can win the presidency...i bet you wish that Kerry would have figured that out. stop being bitter and get over it.

I read the bible and do research on how to be a better Christian also. Does this make me a bad person as well? I thought we were supposed to try to live our lives as best as possible in our conduct and our speech, but I will leave that to you to decide for me as you seem to be the one to decide who is a good christian and who is not.

hey did u know democrats are doing the same thing in preperation for the next election? they need to get the "religious" community vote, because that has much more power than previously relized. dems are taught to act "religious" and talk about spiritual things. Isn't this the biggest crap you've ever heard?

i believe that President Bush is, by technique of his testimony, a born back believer. i do no longer believe that you're going to be a completely committed believer and be a efficient flesh presser on the price of the President of u.s.. There may should be too many compromises made. yet regardless of this, I make many unfaithful compromises each day myself so who am I to assert? contained in the accurate, we can all be to blame to God for our movements.

Bush's speech writer sure knew to include Bible statements. The if you 'are not with us, then you are against us', is one example.
But most of the earth's rulers know to make the people feel that the leader is approved by God, so they would have their faith and confidence. That is one of the things that make the world rulers, the 'kings of the earth' as the Bible puts it, enemies of God.
