Really there is no difference. They both alter jugment. Personally, I wish that they could both be legal. The ideal situation would be if there was a huge extra peanalty for crime committed while under the influence. I don't partake of either, but I hate it when liberty is restricted. Alas! If it weren't for human nature it might be possible.

So legalizing drugs would be too desasterous, and the prohibition of alcohol would be too hard.
The right thing is rearely easy.

Definitely outlaw alcohol. Obviously it won't happen... but I hate it and how people act when under the influence of it. I smoke the green, but I wouldn't want all drugs legalized. The world would come to an end.

They should be legal. All drugs should be legal. They should completely do away with the drug scheduling system. I can think of nothing more dehumanizing than to say someone cannot alter their state of mind.

So much money, from our taxes by the way, are going to this war on drugs, putting untold numbers of people in jail for simple possession or dealing. All of which require even more money beyond just the costs to try and convict.

The drug laws do three essential things.

1.They make a crime out of something that is not a crime.
2.They make criminals out of innocent people.
3.They fund gang wars, smuggling, and untold violence.

Really, is stopping one person from using using drugs really worth putting a hundred people in the ground, and a thousand into prisons?

Besides, in the words of Benjamin Franklin,

"Those who would give up essential liberty to purchase a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety."

Your crazy, some major drugs are a lot easier to get hooked on, a lot more money, will kill you faster and work better. If they legalize all drugs, America would go down in ****, think about it, the more people hooked, crime, unemployment, will both rise. Plus we get a lot of our drugs from other countries. There would be a lot more poor people in the U.S. but lets try to stay on top. Okay.

The most correct thing would be to legalize and tax drug use. The revenue would make up for all the misuse and once it is legal, the use would lessen a good bit.

Think of all the DEA and Narcs that would be out of a job.
