Does political name calling add to intellectual discourse?

Is it getting carried away, are there any legimate questions and answers being rationalized.

are these the greatest minds of our generation?

And if all else fail why are liberals funnier and smarter
i mean in society as a whole,

for example who are the greatest conservative comedians,
songwriters, civil rights leaders, film makers...
and overall do they count?

we have not captured bin laden yet bush does not emphasize it in his speeches. also there have been no orange or terror alerts since the 2004 election. was bush using terror and 9/11 for his own political advantage. i hope not becasue if he did , shame on him and his adminisitration.

I know of various programs set up by employers or agencies to do so, but those seem to come and go. Is there a permanent set-up way to do so? If so, what's the address or how do I find out where to send things to? And I'm talking about sending it to a generic address to be disseminated as they see fit and NOT to a specific soldier. Thanks!

True story:I asked a question yesterday just for fun to counteract someone else's question(right-wing nutbombs do it all the time).I
got the usual mix of answers,with one very long peice of hatemail from a real nut at the end.
So I copied and pasted his reply into my next question "How am I supposed to be more conservative with vitriol like this?"
Conservatives are almost invariably filled with vitriol.So what does
he do? He responds with another screed,this time a full-fledged personal attack.He said my mother "should have aborted me",and this from an anti-choice Republican.Respect for life my foot!
So I then asked a 3rd question about THAT.Most of Bush's fan couldn't answer,apparently.It told me all I really need to know about reactioanry political junkies.
And oh yeah,some letters to the editor of PLAYBOY,written by bald aging toilet wankers call Al Franken "morally bankrupt" for wanting peace and equality.
How can these right-wing hate cases be so morally bankrupt?

Some come for a better life, and some to take advantage of a chance to just make some money and have some fun. When you think about it there are more doing good things than bad. Would you send them all back home because of the faults of others or would you let them stay?

WHERE can I find information pertaining to statistics in the U.S., say, for the last 10 years, about male and female sex offenders?

As in, I want to know how many rapes were reportedly committed by females, as well as how many rapes reportedly commited by males.

Back in World War II this nation rallied together during a Depression. Whole industries converted to the war effort, CEO's took dollar-a-year salaries. People bought war bonds to pay for the war. Victory gardens were planted. Meat was rationed. Tobacco was rationed. Gas was rationed. Rubber was rationed. Metal was rationed. Kitchen grease was recycled. Homefront commandos patrolled our coast and heartland. Rosie the Riveter told working women "WE CAN DO IT!" Tuskegee Airman stuck a huge blow for civil rights. Taxes were raised.

Today, to those who still support the war in Iraq support means calling other Americans traitors and snarling "I PUT A STICKER ON THE BACK OF MY SUV! WHAT MORE CAN A MAN DO?"

Before I get branded a traitor myself--I donate blood. So there are soldiers out there who are alive because of my blood. That's far more than what 90%+ of this war's supporters will EVER do.

Cnn.com article says "Courts make it tougher on illegals"!!! "The supreme court on Thursday dealt a blow to some longtime ILLEGAL residents,upholding the deportation of a mexican man who lived in the U.S. for twenty years". He had (finally) married a U.S. resident whom he'd had a kid with,and he had his own business here. It's a START!!!! What WONDERFUL news!!!
