My fiance' recently acquired herself a stalker and we were curious as to if there are any free websites on the internet that you can view a persons criminal record or see if they have one. We live in Michigan. Apparently this guy went to elementary and high school with her but she doesn't remember him but in a handwriten letter he states he has loved her since elementary school which was almost 30 years ago.
If there are any sites we could log in and see if this guy has been busted for this stuff before. We did go to the police and they agree that a 6 page letter to someone they havent seen in 28 years and don't even really know is NOT NORMAL. They called the city hall in the city he lives and got his number(s), all of which are disconnected. Any help would be great. The police say "yes" he IS wierd and we should be cautious, but he hasn't broken any laws yet... we dont want to wait until laws have been broken. Scarey creepy stuff here.

my ex (who has been to prison twice) is trying to get 50% custody of my daughter. he never paid attention to her while we were together, but has now taken an interest in her. he has never even supported her! during the relationship, i tried to get out. he was manipulative, and had even made threats to beat me if i cheated on him. (he also made threats to kill some friends of mine) i have made it known, to the court, that he had been emotionally abusive to me. I had no idea that emotional abuse was considered domestic violence. It turns out that one of his old girlfriends wrote a declaration stating that he had hit her while she was pregnant and that she did not want him around her and her unborn child. there are also other violent crimes, in his record, against women. i want to know if the judge, at our next hearing, is likely to give this man supervised visits with my daughter. i don't think they should be unsupervised

Is it illegal to be any of those things in public? Does it depend on the place? If so, where?

If I were to take a stranger's picture, and the stranger were to approach me and ask me to tear up or delete the photo, do I have a legal right to refuse? Does the other person have the legal right to force me to get rid of the photo? This is assuming the photo is clean (non-nude), of course.

(Irish law) I wanted to sue someone for setting up a message board [visible to the public] ridiculing me for having mental health problems. I've been old that unless they have libelled me I can't sue them just because I'm upset about it, and that if I am upset I should tell the board administrator ...
And how will that help, exactly?
I've complained to the website people who told the BA that I'd complained and she told the members of the board and subjected me to more ridicule ...
Has anyone in Ireland every sued someone else for emotional distress??

His regime wants equal rights because they are homosexual. I say give them some rights-there is no need to discriminate or cause physical harm to general population over the admitted claim of homosexuality of Taliban leaders and the protected Bin Laden. I, an AMERICAN citizen, accept this behavior for what it is and will not target Taliban or other militants for this reason. May Allah bless us all.

I keep hearing people say that they dont appose immigration as long as its not illegal immigration, then they say were lazy and dont want to do all the paper work and pay fines dont you ignorant people know that if it was that easy there would be no illegals? u basically gotta be rich or marry a u.s citizen to be able to come legally and the rich people got no reason to come since they got money already the people coming are the poor ones which again dont qualify to come to the u.s .Im sure they could borrow the money for the fine and take time to apply but they just dont qualify so stop acting like you just have to go and fill out some papers and pay a fine and ur set.
